| I think i'm going to drop this since i read the manga. I seriously hate Yuki Kaji voice. I just knew he would do that damn whining voice. Everything was perfect except for that annoying voice. I'm glad my favorite Japanese composer doing the OST. |

| Protagonist is kind of one of those immature pricks, but the drama is top notch. Haven't been so disturbed in such a long time. I mean -- death of immediate relatives is common is anime, but being eaten alive in front of the protagonist is just, wow. Gonna keep following. |

| Holy shit, amazing first episode! The most highly anticipated anime of this seasons' first episode didn't disappoint AT ALL! The first 2 minutes alone was simply awesome! I really like how the animation is really close to the manga's. Last 5 minutes were so intense, I had freaking goosebumps. That scene where Hannes stood there petrified after seeing the Titan was so creepy. Karla's death scene was done so well... The Titans are insanely brutal. The OP was great too. I know I'm gonna love seeing more of Mikasa in action. :D Best first episode of this season by far! 5/5 |

Eren isnt a brat in the manga like that. I guess since they made him a brat Kaji Yuki fits. |

| It's been a long time since the first episode of a show has given me chills... This show has vibes similar to Evangelion and its looking real good. I was starting to worry that there wouldn't be any more good serious shows with this kind of impact... Hopefully shingeki no kyojin can change my mind. |

| i hope that kind of animation quality will be consistent for the entire series, a lot of anime only have awesome quality animation in the first 4-6 episodes of a series im glad its not as gore as it looks i can still watch this with joy |

I'm sure it'll get better, since ^I guess this is a spoiler...though like other people said, it's fairly obvious. Anyways, loved the first episode, extremely intense, and the animation is very faithful to the mangaka's art style. The titans were atrocious as they should be, and even scarier than reading the manga. I love the attention the animators put into details of the eyes, it looks very pretty.They did very well with the overall tone and the feelings of fear and despair. Seriously, I cried at that last scene when Karla was being left behind, her conflict of wanting to save the children yet not wanting die. Btw, that intro in itself was just too awesome for words. Although it was slightly cheesy at the part when all them jumped up (holy there were a lot), it also gave me goosebumps. Overall, wonderful introduction to the series. |

| If I.G can maintain the caliber of cinematography & mood that it exhibited in the pilot, this'll probably be one of the season's best shows. The soundtrack's by Sawano, it's essentially hermetic in that category [Guy did the soundtrack to Ao no Exorcist and Guilty Crown -- people berate those shows for their storyline, never their soundtrack]. The only worries stem from whether I.G. can maintain this, and whether they decide to go for a faithful, cliffhanger-isque ending, or an original one. |
