Spike by Keanu is not quite so worrisome as the possibility of "Tank!" by Dogstar.

If as a result of this movies more people will watch the original material then I'm okay with that.

Watched "The day the earth stood still" and soon I'll watch the original.

Keanu can't make Spike's facial expressions :( he can't smile going into fights like that. He would be a bad choice.

Oh, come on. Keanu Reeves couldn't even play Vicious. And unless there's the unlikely chance that Joss Whedon directs this, I'd say this franchise should make like Spike and stay dead already.

I'm already in slight despair over this news. I have nothing against Keanu Reeves. I mean his acting ability seems to wax and wane with the moon, but he isn't all that bad. He's just not awesome enough to play Spike. Plus what are they going to do about the hair? Keanu with a fro...*Shudder*

ya he would be perfect for Spike. idk who else he would be maybe the main bad guy what ever his name was. i can see him doing Spikes fighting style hella good and he is a good actor.

He's actually pretty toneless [monotone speech] like Spike. Personality-wise, the personalities he usually plays makes him unsuitable to be playing Spike; he doesn't fit the role.
