Quite enjoyed this, especially that Singing in the Rain scene and the bit of info about the "mystic eyes". This series feels kind of "hollow" so far, though. |

I loved this movie. It's not as flashy as the other ones, but it's necessary no doubt. Not only does it explain the Mystic Eyes of Death Perception, but it also follows it up with Shiki's development and motivations and it allows us to see things from her perception. |

damn this was probably for me the least enjoyable but it was still so beautiful and superbly written, the 5th looks like it could be immense so can't wait for that one tbh. Just amazed by this series, keeps you on the edge and at times so beautiful, can't believe im over half way through ;( |

Just amazed by this series, keeps you on the edge and at times so beautiful, can't believe im over half way through ;( Actually, I would treat this series either having two seasons or three seasons. If you take it as two seasons, you can divide it up with Movies 1-4 as Season 1, with Movie 5 as the OVA/Movie in the middle, while Movies 6-Epilogue as Season 2. Alternatively, you can take it like how the novels were originally divided up. First novel contains Movies 1-3, second novel contains Movies 4-5, while the last novel contains Movies 6-Epilogue. This makes even more sense if you take into account that each time you get to the "first" part/movie based on each novel it feels like a new season despite being in the same story. Hope that helps! :) |

Isayama Hajime should be awarded The Manga with The Highest Inconsistencies of Characters' Appearances. He keeps performing multiple plastic surgeries on those Shingeki No Kyojin characters in a SINGLE chapter. Yes, I've read up to the latest chapter of Shingeki No Kyojin manga. Forced myself to read through the kidsketching chapters after the anime's ended. At least from now on, I only have to go through the hell once a month. Patiently awaiting SNK TV/movie/OVA anime-sequel. The 2015 SNK live-action movie would probably suck. |

Totally excited for the next movie. I REALLY like this anime...as do most people. The characters are so interesting and the stories are really well done. The art, as with all the others, is absolutely beautiful and the music for this one was AMAZING. I really want the ending theme. Nothing else except this: the last part of the preview (as in the very last thing you see with the kid saying, "I wish this spiral was a paradox" and then the smiling part after that) - if that isn't enough to permanently haunt me in my nightmares, I don't know what is. |

It was a good movie. We finally learned how Shiki power work. It's pretty interresting, and OP. Also, I wonder how she survived that insane jump... I mean, she have that nice superpower, but no human could do a fall like this and get up like nothing happened. So, it look like someone is distribute thes weird power. This is interresting, he will surely be the main antagonist. One thing we haven't learned is how she lost her left arm. I'm hoping we'll learn what happened in the sequel. I'm really excited for the next movie, I really is #32 rank isn't usurped. |

Well if I've learned anything it's that these movies can't be watched when I'm half awake. Very dialogue/concept heavy. Many of my questions were answered with this movie and what's happening is being pieced together more and more. The seemingly separate stories are starting to become intertwined and I wonder where it's going to lead. As with the other movies, the art and visuals were absolutely breathtaking and the battle with the corpse was so awesome, especially with the ost's brilliant mix of eerie and intense. A solid 8/10 for #4, looks like it's finally time for the infamous #5. |

I'd say it's best to take #5 as the main climax of all the strings being pulled in the series (just out of curiosity, you have been watching the end-credits scenes in the other films right?) After the epic climax that is #5, the chronology of 6, 7 and the Epilogue are in proper order as they actually serve more as the proper closure to Mikiya and Shiki's relationship and overall character development as the main characters. |

Adramelech said: Why is other shiki mentioned as a male? It's not like a literal "male", so much as it's the masculine personality of Ryougi Shiki as a whole. Kara no Kyoukai really uses a lot of themes and ideas surrounding Taiji theory. Specifically it plays on the idea of duality: Yin and Yang. In this case Shiki as a character with two personalities is like a literal representation of that theme of duality. |

Loved this one. Kokutou's singing was so sweet and went along beautifully with Shiki's struggle to fight in her hospital room. The battle with the corpse was amazing, and the soundtrack was just intense. Love Touko Aozaki's character even more, now! The foreshadowing of major plot and action development at the end of the credits was perfect. So ready to see this! Pressing play on 5! 9/10 |

Looks like that Araya Souren dude was some form of prototype for the future Kotomine Kirei. And the redhead from the PV could easily pass as Emiya Shirou's brother. Anyways, I'm pretty hyped for movie 5. |

Great movie. I like how things are starting to come together. I also like how the nurses are talking about Mikiya as Mr. Puppy :D He's devotament needs to be recognized though. It appears that at the end of the 2nd movie Shiki and Mikiya were involved in a car accident. I don't belive this 100% but if that's the case then SHIKI must've saved Mikiya because (considering that Shiki was over him) he was at greater risk than her. Anyway after the accident Shiki spent 2 years wondering between life and death. In the meantime her powers activated and SHIKI disappeared. After talking with Touko she decides to keep on living so that SHIKI's sacrifice (?) won't be wasted. What intrigues me is that at the end of the 3rd movie Shiki was talking about herself at the third person.. The next movie looks crazy! :D I love this series up to now. |

A lot of revelations and unfurling and some more questions, as usual. SHIKI is dead, huh? That scene where Shiki was floating, hm, what was that? (Or is it spoilers?) So this is how Touko and Shiki met, was that the girl from movie 1 at the hospital? A nice touch there. 8/10 After credits scene wasn't just a pv this time and was actually something, some kinda mastermind planning something it seems. Was that the kid from Shiki and Mikiya's school from movie 2 at the end? Wtf happened to him? |

Drucoz said: That scene where Shiki was floating, hm, what was that? (Or is it spoilers?) It's not a spoiler. Basically it's a visual representation of how Shiki was able to witness the Origin with her own eyes. Her life and death experience basically put her on the brink of death, literally on the boundary of "emptiness" (the Origin/Void). This allowed her to manifest/channel the Origin's power (nothingness). It's essentially how Shiki attained her Mystic Eyes of Death Perception. ^_^ Drucoz said: So this is how Touko and Shiki met, was that the girl from movie 1 at the hospital? A nice touch there. Yeah, it's the same girl, Kirie Fujou. Drucoz said: Was that the kid from Shiki and Mikiya's school from movie 2 at the end? Wtf happened to him? Not bad at all, but nothing too special either. Nice to get some insight into Shiki's character and her power. After this fourth movie the picture feels "complete" as far as the timeline goes. 2nd movie -> 4 -> 1 -> 3. Good, good. Also, what are you doing here Kotomine? Same voice actor, same "aura", tall character, same type of hair basically. Seriously I thought he was gonna say that name when he introduced himself, lol. |

It's technically been a year since I watched KnK1 (put the series on hold back then since I didn't want to continue with the rest right away, and I didn't bother with rating KnK1 either until I continued)... I remembered that she had a doll arm, but I didn't remember what that arm was actually like. So when I watched Fujino wreck her arm I just thought "well no biggie, you can just get another one!". But yea that makes sense. |

although i hate anime movies that aren't 2hrs, i don't really care regarding this series since there's lots of movies with different content. these movies would have to be the only exception, though. anyway- now THIS is something worth getting into. (although the scenes when it showed the side effect of her blue eyes grossed me out entirely ._.') ph and i really liked that part when kokouto sang. good directing in that part. i'm confused now, though. SHIKI was the personality that left, right? i suppose it left because of that hit shiki got from the truck. anyway SHIKI is gone right? so why is shiki still having the desire to kill? shouldn't that be gone? speaking of, i had no idea maaya sakamoto does ger voice :o i can't stop listening to her without thinking of ciel lol. as always the preview of the next ep looks awesome. i'd give this a 8. meh, why not 9. |
