| Great ending. I'm going to forget that episode 11 ever existed. I still don't like the mother but I am glad we got to see her reaction to leaving her child. The love confession was sweet. |

| When I watched the first episode, I thought this would be the best anime of the season. Man, this seems so long ago... like a distant dream... I'll never, ever understand what the hell the writers were thinking. Rating it a 3 out of 10. |

| I actually liked the final episode, especially when Kotoura's mom got told off that was the highlight of the episode. But aside from the first episode and this one, it didn't really do anything. 6/10 |
| 7/10. It was pretty OK for a show that isn't partially to my taste, nothing too "ensorcelling" for my eyes, nothing too bad at all. Would of probably rated lower if I expected it to be near perfection. Not something I'd go to the shop especially to buy when it comes out on Blu-ray though. At least the MC wasn't one of those annoying chew toys... |

It did feel like an anime original ending too, everything was resolved way too fast (Kotoura's mom, the romance, everything). And I found the art, the story,the characters, everything in those 2 chapters to be inferior to the anime. If it gets that good later on, then it should be worthwhile. In manga romance was resolved even faster. Manabe gave Kotoura ring instead pendant. |

| I really liked the episode, and how it managed to rush the middle, and end without leaving me feeling like the show should not be over. Even thou they didn't have happy faces it was a fun and enjoyable moment during the pillow fight. I do wish they concluded the mother daughter conflict in another season or short ova. It was such a good show I can not help wanting more. 5/5 |

| I'm surprised to hear the disappointment with the show's direction. I was taken back by the start bc I judged the show incorrectly based on the description. It was a perfect example of don't judge a book by it's cover. Long story short, I really enjoyed it. The criminal part was a little lame but it served a greater purpose with their whole friendship building. Maybe a different method would of been more appropriate but I didn't hate it. Kotora was voiced perfectly by Hisako Kanemoto and complimented the hell out of that cute character. I liked it and was way better than my initial expectations. Cute, some good laughs, and heartwarming. 8/10. |

Drama, I think this is where a lot of people are dropping the score so far. I think a lot of people wanted to see a massive dramatic series like School Days, Mirai Nikki, or Another. There were episodes that focused around drama, in the beginning mainly, but even during the attacker arc, it didn't really feel dramatic for me. The most dramatic thing was Moritani being brought in and Kotoura being caught by the cop. Romance, I feel the romance between Kotoura and Manabe was well done. It was very blatant that they liked each other, the only thing that could have been better was a kiss. We also got a confession scene by Moritani and a look into Mifune's thoughts about Muroto. School, the setting was at a school, and did have a slice of life feel to it in some episodes. For me the animation quality was good enough, the story was enjoyable, the characters were very loveable, the opening song was amazing, the voices for the characters were good (especially Mifune), and I really enjoyed the show itself. For me, my rating mostly comes from my enjoyment of the show. I looked forward to seeing this every week and enjoyed it a lot, thus my score of a 9. If there was a kiss between Manabe and Kotoura, it probably would have been a 10 for me. |

| I thought Kotoura-san was a good series. Not great but not bad either. I actually liked some of the dramatic elements. My biggest beef with it is some of the things about this series seemed illogical. For example, if the girl can read minds (which is obvious), wouldn't it just be easier to tell her not to say what others are thinking out loud? A simple bit of parenting and poof, this doesn't become an issue. Then again, Haruka's parents don't seem like the sharpest tools in the shed. It was pretty solid for an AIC series. They don't exactly have a lot of good animes to speak of. I did enjoy Acchi Kocchi but that's not a groundbreaking anime. Just a pretty simple comedy that's good for a few laughs. |

| This isn't a "perfect" anime that I've seen this season, but it's really one of the best. It had such a strong beginning, then it went to the middle which was really nothing relating to the story. The whole investigation part about finding a criminal was interesting to see only to be disappointed at how it ended. But then this ending gave out the important parts of this show and it was portrayed in such a good way. It gave me a tear or two watching this episode but everything was resolved from this episode. Kotoura and Manabe are now officially a couple, the mother still cares for Kotoura T___T, Mifune and Muroto are like a couple.... (oh that means Moritani is forever alone :( ), and best of all we know Kotoura will have a great life with her friends by her side. I have to say this show has it's ups and downs, but it was exciting to see an anime like this. I've never seen an anime where you laugh ur ass off at one moment and then bawl out tears the next. I can't control my feels! Overall it's was good. Nothing that is like extraordinary from this anime, but I liked watching it. 9/10 |

Although I do not agree with everything you've said, you were definitely able to back them up with some facts and observations based on what you've watched rather than just a plain "oh, I like the series" from what that other guy has presented, or rather just stating some opinion. I agree that the show is pretty funny with the random gags and delusions that Manabe-kun has regarding those thoughts of Kotoura. In fact, I lol'd @ that several times. However, I'm not too sure on the romance, drama, and the other point you mentioned related to story. I felt that part was quite blend with the penultimate episode being a backlash of what the pilot episode presented. I also find the story to be a bit predictable and the thriller like suspense to be easily picked out. I won't go too much on the animation/sound since those can be covered in a review and I'm probably not going to review the series. Anyways, I've definitely got some respect for you on this post and some opinions on what you've thought of the show. |

| I give the episode a 8/10 and the anime a 7/10. Great start, but disappointing ending. Honestly the season was pretty good up until the police arc. Once the police arc started the anime went downhill. The way the police arc ended was just pathetic. 3-4 episodes trying to find a culprit and at the end the female cop turns herself in such a relaxed manner. Total waste of episodes in the police arc. Honestly it would have been much better to see Kotoura's mother character develop, and see more of Kotoura/mother. Good to see Kotoura back to good terms with her mother. During the credits we see Kotoura's mother at Kotoura's house again. She's eating in a blushing feeling i believe. |

| Sure the whole thing with Kotoura & her mom making up was kinda forced but I thought it was still pretty heartwarming. especially how her dull bitch eyes started shining like they did before. And that confession scene was very sweet too. Manabe & Kotoura saying they both love eachother, sharing a cute nose kiss and then just holding hands & looking happily at the Christmas tree WITHOUT being ruined by a random perverted thought from Manabe. I loved it. I actually thought it would end with Unresolved sexual tension but thankfully it didn't. I'll give this series a 9/10. Not perfect, but ALMOST. |

| The show started really nicely with some strong first episodes (especially the first half of the 1st episode), but then it just become an alright watch. Even so, going to keep my 8/10 for now. |
| Kotoura-san ended up being my greatest disappointment of the season. It had such excellent opening episodes, but after a while the show just seemed to replay itself on the same concepts. Plus EVERYONE knew what was going on in the detective arc. And as much as I like the Kotoura-san OP, a lot of times it was a really harsh change in pace in the more serious episodes and ruined the mood. I actually liked the last episode because it seemed to wrap the show up well, but I still have to give the show a 5. |

| 8/10 This final episode really saved this show for me. It had a strong start, then started to go slightly downhill from there, but this finale really brought it back up. It wrapped up the series very well. Kotoura confessed to Manabe, and he did likewise. Kotoura and her mother getting along, it was just very well done.  I mean, look at this scene. This rarely happens. Usually something intervenes to AVOID this kind of scene. Us fans got what we wanted. I would have liked to see them kiss, but there was good enough. Really bold of Manabe. Also, her evil eyes are gone! This scene moved me. |

| I really enjoyed this show all along. The strong start left me with wanting more, and it payed off at the end. The finale was good too, so this show was really special to me. Therefore i give it a 8. |
