THIS IS AN MANGA ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS ANYTHING BEYOND THIS CHAPTER.

Wow, first thing that came to my mind: "Romeo and... Juliet?". But afterwards, there were demons. So I'll put my two cents in by saying this is similiar to Romeo and Juliet, but with a fantasy/supernatural twist. *nods* but that might change considering the fact that Arina-sensei always adds something special =)
(Like the surprise at the end was shocking to me xD)

that was shocking? i thought that it was pretty obvious from the beginning. what messenger would ever call the princess upon first meeting her a bear.

I think it was okay =)
but it was pretty obvious that this "messenger" was the prince ^^
but I think that's always like this in a shoujo if the opportunity is given xD

I think arina-sensei will surprise us with something…

Good... liked the demon twist... So the messenger was the prince that she's engaged to... Mmm that's kinda unoriginal but I liked it anyways... in fact i think this story kinda has a future... let's see how this will turn out in the future... which surprises will Arina-san give us on the 29th :p

I dunno I thought it was soo generic. I've read all of her works ever since ION and this reminds me a lot of Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne except instead of French history it's like Japanese historical stuff. Her character designs also reverted to the same style as KKJ but I liked them the most in Full Moon wo Sagashite (which in my opinion is her best work)

Probably not going to keep up with this series, I think after a while her stuff is just sooo generic and repetitive of her past works that its great for new readers of her stuff but for those who've read her stuff in the past, its the same ol' thing

I think I'm the only one who wasn't able to predict that the messenger was the prince. ;;; I thought it was going to turn into one of those 'forbidden' romance thing. Hahaha. Go, me.

For me, it's quite obvious that the messenger were the prince. I dunno.. hunch maybe?

Anyways, at first I found the stories very interesting.. but then, a magical girl appear? In Heian era? With THAT costume? That makes me dizzy for a while. But hey! This is Tanemura-sensei! >.< anyways, I'll decide later if I wanna continue after reading few more chapter's.

At first I thought the messenger was gonna be like in love with her or something..
but then when I read further more it was bit obvious that he was the prince.

My thought echo Tsundere's: all this has been before in Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne and her other stories. Sakura even has a Finn Fish-like little mascot creature!

It still looks way better than Mistress Fortune, though.

The chapter was hard to read in my opinion... it was.. complicated. I liked the "heroine" outfit, though xD

Asagiri reminds me of Finn Fish and Oura reminds me of Sakataki, recycling sure is a great thing, huh? x)

At one moment I was sure that Chizakura was about to speak, just like Cane-chon, but I think that woul've been too much, maybe?

At first The Gentlemen's Alliance Cross didn't convince me, but now I'm hooked, maybe it will happen with Sakura too.

I thought it was adorable. While it was a bit predictable, I enjoy magical girl series, so I'm pretty sure I'll continue to follow this.

I really like Arina Taneumura, but she's getting REALLY REALLY predictable.
"WAHHHH! I'm a clumsy teenage girl. I'm not that bright but that's okay. I want to fall in love. There's this attractive man here, but I hate him for some reason or another, but secretly love him because I'm a tsundere. He also has a secret identity but I have no idea about it. My tini part animal friend will help."

C'mon Arina. Get your head in the game. Don't loose your charm. Give me something different from before.

Is this any good? =_= I just finished Mistress Fortune and I'm very disappointed :( (good thing I didn't go and buy it when I saw it on the shelves the first time)

And the male protagonist or something (prince? whatever?) is short blue-haired AGAIN D: ..
I mean.. look at her stories. The guys look all the same. And she doesn't even try to change them (blue.. every each of them ... U_u") Ok Giniro was blue-ish/silver but WTF??

What are you talking about? Haine is the only Arina heroine who was dumb and clumsy. All her other girls were smart and capable! There is no girl that directly fits that description you typed-it's like you meshed Haine and Maron together and sorry, that does not work.

Nobody has a "tiny part animal friend". o_o

They're not blue-haired. They're black-haired. Except for Chiaki and Takanari. Chiaki's hair changes from blond to blue. Takanari's true hair color has never been confirmed. But Mikado, Sakataki, Takuto, and Aoba ALL are confirmed to have BLACK hair. Arina likes black haired boys and she has said this a few times. But manga-ka don't usually color with a straight black color so they have a blue-ish tint. But they really ARE supposed to be black and there's nothing wrong with an Asian woman designing Asian characters with black hair.

Just wanted to straighten that out. Also, Aoba's hair is long, not short. It's hidden under his hat. But we see it in chapter six.
