because if just to make chieri shine more, is it better to not just kill her father and let chieri meet him?
i think this assasination will make a bigger problem later on..

The reason I'm so doubtful about a season 3 is because Iwata Karen (Nagisa's VA) posted in her blog a few weeks ago about how they had just finished recording, how she can't believe it's over, it was a great experience, etc, etc, which all sounded pretty final. On top of that, Sonata, Orine, and Suzuko's VAs have all left the band. Not to say it isn't possible, but based on all that it's looking unlikely.

I wonder where was the announcement of this change? Or we are seeing yet another case of changes made that impacted users but not communicated to them?

I wonder how long people would put up with this.

As much as I have a bunch of information to share about anime announced recently I cannot share it in news board, and the anime series is too disorganized and chaotic to share information except with people already interested in the particular series.

It should be noted that Episode 0 is probably non-canon, since it contradicts the anime on certain things.

In fact there are inconsistencies in all the spinoff manga, so it's probably safer to think about them as AU stories.

I don't think that you should jumped to conclusion so soon. There is a chance of season 3 because there are a lot of things that are unexplained.

Here's the reasons:

1) We don't know who assassinated Chieri's father.
2) Who is going to be Acchan the 14
3) How to save Yuuko and the other Center Nova
4) Will Nagisa and/or Chieri will disappear as Center Nova?

Basically, there are much more questions and thoughts to the anime. Its really getting interesting and I don't want it to end soon. I'm hoping for a season 3 and a possible movie for AKB0048 soon.

This is seriously getting better and better. I loved this episode on so many levels... If my temporary rating wasn't 9, I would raise it. XD I wish there would be another season but I highly doubt it. At most we'll see a film or an OVA but there's definitely not enough material for give or take 13 episodes. I just hope they'll show who succeeded who from the MCs. Now to wait a week for next episode... I should have marathoned this, not watched while it was airing.

This truly captures society at its best...misdirected anger and selfishness. The anime is wonderful; however, the person doing the translation is terrible. There were complete scenes the translation is nonexistent. I do not speak Japanese and rely solely upon the translation...so I ask whoever is doing this to make sure you do your best for the next episode! That's what AKB0048 would want and so should you.

Where do you watch those? As far as I know, EveTaku is doing a great job with translating this show. Never been at a scene where there was no translation.

Maybe they already recorded season 3? A chance is still a chance.

I have to agree with you. There's a chance for season 3 and I'm hoping to watch the third season. there are a lot of things unexplained and we really need a season 3. Also,here's a quote for all readers and/or watchers of AKB0048: 'Expect the unexpected!'

Hear me out . . . It is possible that he is still alive because Chieri did not tell how her bother died as well how her mother died. Her brother may had been into an accident with the mother, which concludes that the mother only died leaving the older brother alive. he might be in the DGTO army because I think that he sniped his father which makes him an excellent sniper. Also another possibility is that he killed the father because he plans to take over Zodiac and take over his father's research and use the Center nova's power and control the whole universe.

So much for Star Wars Episode V if Chieri met the killer who is actually her older brother.

Man, hearing River always gets me pumped up.

A bit of a shock to see the audience react like that. It feels a bit rushed to be at Akibastar already but I'm finally feeling the tension rise. I loved the fantasy element with the AKB Theatre scene via the train. Seeing the broken staircase with the center novae shining above them was a sight to behold. I'm looking forward to seeing how it will all end.

I would put my money on either the opening or the ending.
The opening because of some of the lyrics, which would fit with 00 bringing the "sun" back to Akibastar
The ending because that's the single of No Name this season, and because of the title and some of the lyrics again.

If there isn't going to be a S3, this is going to be one hell of a last episode....

Basically everything in this post. Season 2 wasted a lot of time on the contents in the middle and the last 3 episodes really opened up only more questions than resolving previous ones. By killing the "supposed last boss" before anything happened, it just went down the path of typical Kawamori trolling.

The overarching concept behind the Center Nova and AKB0048 is interesting but the show is doing a terrible job at executing and flushing that out right now. There had better be a third season otherwise all the goodness built in early on in season 2 as well as the end of season 1 just went out the window.

3rd time watching

That train reminds me of the Star Trek the Next Generation episode where something takes over the enterprise in search of some pulsar to feed off of or something (they communicated with it through the holo-deck on a train).

Trains are psychologically creepy for some reason. This episode handled it well... space-time train.

Yea, old washed-up Tsubasa, show them kids how to dance!
