that's not so great anime. That's so good anime,more have a low popularity.
And anime not to good than this.Example: Naruto,Pokemon e angel beats thats more popular.

This show is a direct ripoff of Saint Seiya btw... Thought it's made by the same guy.

Why you think is direct ripoff Saint Seiya? Because the characters have same faces.

So very different Foh have same face than Hipnos,bot not equal personality.
The history so very diferent than saint seiya. The main characters not equal emotions than saint seiya.

Pokemon is always equal,all episodes have same mechanism and guide. And very popular.
Naruto much episodes and characters didn't make great changes in your life.

Well the author of Saint Seiya likes to reuse his character designs, very similar to Osamu Tezuka (I think that's called Star System or something).

How could a 90s TV show with such basic technical values and probably a very simple fantasy nekketsu story be popular in the West where peoples will only ever celebrate one of the author's creations ?
Moreover, I don't know about other countries but it never got free-tv national broadcasts in France, and was instead stuck on a specialized payed satellite channel.

Strangely, there are a few designs he rarely recycles (from what I saw): Rinkake's Ishimatsu (my favourite character there) and Shinatora (maybe recycled once in Kojiro, not even sure).
