Shouldn't that be vol. 17? Sakurasou selling a lot less than last volume, though it has had 2 days less sale time. Good to see Yotsuba up there. |

So MAL finally starts locking news threads that are only a few weeks old? I wonder where was the announcement of this change? Or we are seeing yet another case of changes made that impacted users but not communicated to them? I wonder how long people would put up with this. As much as I have a bunch of information to share about anime announced recently I cannot share it in news board, and the anime series is too disorganized and chaotic to share information except with people already interested in the particular series. |

The manga artist really made his name by this switch to seinen manga as he had been drawing only hentai before. His drawing skill clearly benefited from his years of practice drawing those manga and this manga appeals to far broader reader base than the standard hentai porn. The story is pretty clever too, as I think it combines several kinds of male fantasy into one place but only keeps things titillating instead of full-blown hentai.I dare any male to self-insert themselves into the MC of this manga |

Oh, really? Since it's already got a live action I suppose it getting an anime is a little far-fetched now. It's from my understanding series that get live-action adaptions never really get an anime as well. |

Sanguis said: Or they get both live-action and anime adaptation at roughly the same time, which is what happened in MoshiDora, Mirai Nikki and Uchuu Kyoudai for example. Oh, really? Since it's already got a live action I suppose it getting an anime is a little far-fetched now. It's from my understanding series that get live-action adaptions never really get an anime as well. The live action TV drama has been heavily promoted and stars some of the hottest actors/actresses which may also explain a great deal of the sales boost we are seeing in the LN sales week after week recently. |

Dengeki Bunko novels are normally released on the 10th of each month so the ones released this month like Sakurasou, Baccano, C³, Mahouka, etc. barely ranked two days this week which is why they are selling much less than usual. Their sales numbers should be back to normal next week. I bought a bunch of Dengeki Bunko novels sight unseen/heard to make my amazon.co.jp shipping cost not upside down... just to get Sakurasou 9 which I almost missed, luckily a friend asked me if I was getting it. It's good! Sakurasou no Petto na kanojo 9, 18535, not bad! Forth Series Renshaou 1-2, don't see it... Kantan na monitor desu, 5519, small... but first or only issue Adachi to Shimamura, no show Kiwamete Ningoku 1-2, another no show, less than 4659 anyways Hitotsu no Tairiku no Monogatari 1, 12232, not bad for first issue! Glad to see Nozoki Ana did over 50000 after ranking for a strong second week too! Still haven't seen the date for Nozomi x Kimio 2. |

I simply don't get how One Piece is so successful. Is it because of overrating and people buying it just as a trend, following they're fellows, or is that good? Frankly, I never managed to read One Piece, it isn't that great in my opinion. By the way, Nurarihyon's still selling good, although the manga got axed. |

sherlock5545 said: One Piece had an interesting concept at the beginning, namely an RPG-esque world and adventure, where the MC goes and collect new members and goes in an adventure with a goal in mind and a set opponent, namely Shanks. The first pack of chapters were interesting in how the characters were handled and how great the potential of the series is, Oda has some nice story-telling and he handles the mystery of the world pretty well, as well as the depth of his characters. The high points of the series were Water 7, Sabaody Archipelago, Whitebeard War, and the setting for the New World before the time-skip (which happened like 2 years ago). Too bad it started going downhill from there on.I simply don't get how One Piece is so successful.
