Who here would watch Toradora! live action? And if it was, who would you see playing the respective roles? I would actually love if Toradora! was live action and would be going gaga if they added a live action film as well. I think this could beat Hana Yori Dango in popularity if only because it's more fun, the characters are ruder and more realistic. Or that could all be my personal bias speaking. Just wondering other's thoughts on this. As a side note I loved HYD series as live action and I loved H2 live action. So I'm all for more animes live action. I would watch it, because I would be Ami. *nods* Totally. Either way, Ami should be a very beautiful woman. Hirano Aya should totally play Minori though. XD |

I was thinking of Nakabeppu Aoi from Life (the bad one). Maybe even the lead guy from Life for Ryu, Hosoda Yoshihiko. Oh and she was in a drama where she was a model. It's called Walkin' Butterfly. Uchi Hiroki  He was in Osen (I love that jdorama). Actually in this pic he sort of reminds me of Mike He (I prefer Mike He's lips). I love Nishikido Ryo but he just might be too old for the role.  or  Both of them are part of the Jpop band : Kanjani8 and are best friends (so maybe both could work and the debate is over who is the best Ryuuji. We'd have the best bud vibe established already. Added to that I love both their acting. I love their dramas. My choice is totally NISHIKIDO RYO, but still think he's too old for the role. There is always Mizobata Junpei. I love his dramas except for Hana Kimi (I'm one of the lost souls who never got into it).  I think Junpei would be great and I love his dramas like Hachi-one Diver and Akai Ito (which is currently airing). There is always the new kid in town who's actually pretty decent. It's Miura Haruma, no doubt an ultra hottie, the stuff I've seen him in and love him in is Koizura (a classic love story), Galileo Sp, and currently watching him in Bloody Monday. The problem is, I don't know if he can be intimidating. I just think Nishikido Ryo is my ideal. But here is Miura Haruma's pic.  The battle over Ryuuji is intense. I think you might be referring to my idea on a live action....Possibly, but I'd love it. I thought H2 was a great live action. It's not like a live action of Sailor Moon or another scifi based live action (we don't want that ever...too bad for Chobits ever becoming Live Action) :D. However, I do think these school dramas can be great live actions and I'd be totally into that. Their slice of life/school dramas/romance/comedy/ecchi goodness, when I went to school that's all that was going on. I'd like to see more live actions like this. I'm kind of tired of the rape, suicide, tragic love stories that jdoramas have been pimping out for school dramas. Something fun with a little drama is better and I think this show has a lot to offer. On a note...I'm so totally going to pimp Nishikido Ryo or Uchi Hiroki as Ryuuji....but all of the above are hot. |

Hence the reason I offered the others and said several times I preferred Nishkido Ryo, so that's neither here nor there. Second of all, I don't know what "ota" means. Following that..the intended audience was young girls who like teen dramas, maybe with a few guys who might be into the idea of going to Koshien and who wants to watch. You don't put Yamada Takayuki or Tanaka Koutaro if you're not trying to appeal to the girls. Those guys have a massive fangirl base mainly made up of teens. The same could easily be done with Toradora! This is why shows like Itazura na Kiss' It Started With a Kiss, They Kiss Again, & Last Kiss (probably) was (or will be) a sucess. You can't say it won't be a success when so many manga turned shows can be successes, especially in regards to slice of life, school, romance, comedies. You're the second person to say it won't work without even giving a realistic reason why it won't work and definitely not knowing if it could work in when put on screen. There have been far more successes than failures of mangas turned to dramas, like Honey & Clover, H2, Mars, Itazura na Kiss, HYD, and so on.
