Shame that it'll be a long wait after the TV series is finished, but it's nice that it's there.

I've been reading the LN for this and I'll assume it will be either a prologue of the events from the LN or something else. Still looking forward to it of course.

I wonder if the NicoNico broadcast with Italian subtitles, if it does not I'll look in English, to realize what is waiting for me! ^_^

Maybe we should wait for the Anime to be airing at least, and then judge about the OVA. Hope it will be a nice one!

Enjoying this so far so can't wait for this. More Tohka, Kotori and Kurumi are always welcome.

Gonna hope for an another season also if there'll be enough material for it.

You cared enough to post this cliche-ass comment.

I think it is since the summary is about a 13th episode not aired, and we'll be in the Kotori's arc soon.

I don't think it's rare.

There's even a series that they announced a 2nd season already yet the 1st season is still currently airing.

The only thing surprising about these announcements is that people are constantly surprised by these announcements... OVAs/OADs get bundled with novels/manga/various volumes of the BDs all the time.

Preorder estimates for Date A Live aren't spectacular or anything, it's very standard in terms of sales, however merchandise sales could give it a second season and my does this anime have some nice merchandise (some I already preordered).

~5k BD+DVD (provided the DVD isn't overestimated too much) usually gives enough probability for a sequel without considering other miscellaneous sales (such as the LN, manga, mechandise, etc). Of course, good miscellaneous sales does provide a much better chance for a sequel.

Back on the actual quote, I think that comment was in arguement to no one caring about this anime... but the preorder numbers do state differently.

On topic, it's not really surprising to have an OVA announced. I guess i'll watch it anyway, since Date A Live isn't that bad.

Mediocre is putting it very nicely.
But, if you dropped it like me in the first 10 minutes of the first episode, just download episode 8-10, skim the date stuff and watch Tokisaki Kurumi take over your mind.

She's so... terrifyingly awesome.

Does this mean there is a good chance Funimation will release this show on bd?
