| First I didn't know that this was the last episode of the season, damn. Second this anime has proven over and over again that in time it will become one of the greats. If this episode has shown us anything its that this series has a long way to go before it is over which is a good thing. |

| I feel bad for the people that dropped this just because of the animation. It was a very good watch and it depicted war better than any other anime I've seen so far. The only reason I'm giving it 8/10 instead of 9/10 is because Xin leading 300 men, while still wearing the same clothes he wore as a servant really annoys me. He bought the armor and then never used it. Excited for season 2. |
| I'm glad I invested my time into watching this show. The first half of the show was somewhat unbearable but as it went along it got better and better. Perhaps it was because there was less of Xin and more of the generals/tactics. The ending was well done, even though it left a bitter taste with me. Overall 9/10 -- it was great. |

| Oop he's riding a true general's horse ^^ General Meng is a boss, more like total boss. The speech at the 13:00-15:00 mark was touching. MAN TEARS WERE SHED. ..........................  Well, my overall impressions of this series is alright I guess. I thought I would like it more though but I guess historical genres don't click with me too well. Qing is my favorite character from the series. (spinoff when?) but some of the others were a bit dull including the MC. Soundtrack is pretty epic though and I enjoy the OP song as well. I wonder if Season 2's Op song will top it... Anyways, overall 6/10. Long live Wang Yi! |

| Epic show. I agree about the CG not being fantastic, would have been better normally animated, but it didn't take away from how epic it ended up being. About to start catching up on season 2 now! Wang Qi is one of my favourite characters in anything, what a legend. Shame he died. :( |

| I enjoyed it from beginning to end. Each episode was an adrenaline rush for me from the political intrigue and brutality at court right through the last episode where Wang Yi remained epic to the end. This is certainly one of the best I've seen so far. As another person commented, I'm also annoyed with the fact that Xin is still wearing that blue outfit. It just looks weird after all this time has passed. |
| I need to see Xin get older already. D: (or time passing like LotGH where you don't even realize how quickly time is passing until the characters start talking about past events.) On another, epic series. I started it not expecting much - I was just in the mood for some Asian high fantasy and though watching an Asian historical one would be fine instead. Also helped that the rating is pretty good. Boy was I surprised though. After the first episode, things started to pick up fast and there was lots of good points that were hit on my enjoyment triggers. CGI barely affected me. It was relatively well blended except a few awkward scenes here and there. I've seen worse. Only thing I hate with animation are still-frames and over-repeating (which Kingdom didn't use much of). Otherwise, no reason to drop for animation. Overall, loved it. On to season 2...! Ah damn, it's still airing, isn't it? D: I'll hold on until it's done airing I guess. I don't know how I would stand weekly waiting for this series. |

| Definitely a good historical type show, but the CGI is truly a huge turn off and will drive many people from watching the show. I managed to get through it and ended up just enjoying the show more w/o paying much attention to the CGI. General Wang Qi, was a boss and honestly the best character next to Qiang. 8/10. |

| At first I thought this show was gonna be garbage because of the CGI, and that I was only gonna watch to get to season 2. But I was strangely hooked after the first episode. This final ep was so sad, and great. Sucks that Wang yi died, I really thought he'd live, but it was cool nonetheless. |
| This series really did get much better as it went along. These last couple of episodes were crazily good, and Wang Qi's end was really quite sad. He will be missed. Looking forward to seeing if S2 will hold up in quality. |

| Yep this show really reminds me of LotGH and golden age of berserk. I just wished there was more Zheng development; I want to know what kind of King he wants to be. Will he stay in his castle or will he act like a general and lead his men into battle. I'm personally hoping he becomes a tactful king who rivals Li Mu, that way Xin could be the general who leads the forces while Zheng comes up with the strategies. Hopefully Zheng at least gets more time next season, because I really like the Xin and Zheng interactions. And boy was that a surprise. Teng is a damn beast! Also, even though I find it real touching that Xin will use Wang Qi's halberd when Xin grows up, I find it a little sad because personally I always found swords to be so much cooler than every other weapon so I wanted Xin to use a sword throughout his entire military career, but halberds and staves are more effective on horseback, unless your Teng, so I guess it makes sense to transfer over to a long weapon; although, I'm still hoping he'll keep Piao's sword for when he isn't on a horse. |

| That was a good ending. I cared for Wang Qi as a character, and his prolonged death, albeit typically dramatic, was effective. His death augurs a sense of change throughout the kingdoms, making it a perfect transition to the second season. I felt Kingdom could have done much more if it went beyond the bounds of its target demographic. Xin never transcends the definitive battle shounen MC, including his growth, and the war strategy was facile, undermined by the focus on individuals. It felt like Dynasty Warriors: The Anime. I understand the necessity of Xin for the narrative, but I could have done with a lot less yelling and screaming. I may be overly critical since this was recommended to me under the pretense of large scale strategic battles. Overall, I liked the show, easily facilitated by my love for ancient Chinese (pseudo-)history and the adrenaline of battle shounen, but I felt it had much more potential, which I'm hoping the second season will tap into a bit more. |

| Manly tears were shed for Ouki. You can't help but cry with everybody else. I didn't see this being a great anime after first episodes, and I had rough time adapting to the bad CGI, but it closed with a climax, and the last ED theme was very deep and enchanting. 9/10 |

| General was truly a great man and, like he said himself, he was fortunate to die in battle while knowing there are still promising generals left to carry on AND the enemy could not get his body. Truly great season! 9/10. |
| As this series progressed, Wang Qi became soo much more badass and ended up being the best character on this show. Gonna miss his awesome chuckle. Pretty underrated show imo. 8.5/10 Off to start season 2! |

| Decided to rewatch season 1 over the holidays and I have to say this last episode really packs an emotional punch, even though I knew what was coming. Wow. So well done. Time to rewatch season 2 and rekindle hope that another season will be announced this year. |

| Who knew an anime with such a shitty start could become so good? This anime was addicting. I finished it in a mere 4 days and am planning to watch season 2 as soon as it gets a bluray release. Great anime. The animation was shit and the CG models, while they got better, were still a bit of an eyesore so I cannot give this anime a 9 but it is still absolutely worth watching. 8.5/10 |
| Wow, what a great end to this series. Hou Ken staying alive laft a bit of a bad taste in my mouth but Ou Kii's death scene was so powerful. It was a great ride. Fantastic music, likeable characters, great story for an action anime and that lovely Chinese setting. The only downsides for me was that CGI (sometimes) and Chinese names with different Japanese pronouncation, though the second one is more of a hurdle than a real downside. |
