THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Manatees!!! Giant Bipedal Manatees is exactly what this show was missing! This is one of the most uninspired episodes of an anime ever. |

This series gets worse and worse with each new episode. The worst part about it is that this anime COULD HAVE BEEN excellent. They had all the pieces: unique characters, an interesting plot, a battle of wills, and a friendship's mettle tested through and through. But this is why this is such a failure. In this episode for instance: Hime is in her bed crying and pouring her heart out and Akina, her freaking best friend since they were kids, just stands there like a dope as if he mildly cares and is actually surprised she feels the way she does. Ummm, why doesn't he hug her? Why doesn't he hold her and tell her everything is going to be fine? Why is Gin's little sister the one who has to come in to encourage her all while Akina smiles like an idiot? Also, they're still not getting stronger, so how can we believe the Quartet will beat Enjin? It's ludicrous and it's going to come down to ex machina, which will jsut be FAIL. Meanwhile there's like a few episodes left and we still don't even know about half the characters, leaving no time for character growth or romance or plot development, leaving left mindless dialogue and cliched fight scenes against globular monsters that had no real purpose except to just be there and growl. I'm so disappointed - I thought this anime showed a lot of promise starting off, but the redundancy and lack of attention to detail and plot development has crushed the soul of the story. Romance comedy anime - Japan's gift to America |

It was an OK ep I guess. I start to dislike Akina in anime ver. Hope to see more action in last two ep! mcjazzman32 said: The worst part about it is that this anime COULD HAVE BEEN excellent Judging from your manga list I can see that you don't read much manga but if you liked the characters and such I seriously recommend reading the manga as it actually is excellent. |

I saw the Manga available at the bookstore a few days ago. Maybe I should just go out and grab it. The only thing the series has going for it are attractive character designs. Man, that nun and the nurse are hot! =) Anyway, this episode was blah. But, I've seen worse. When this show started, I found myself giving it an 8, but now it's down to a 7 and if the last episodes don't improve, then sadly I'll have to drop it to a 6. More than a thousand problems. Less than a thousand solutions. |

what the heck was with those white giants?? enjin summon them? is that white hair kid with the hat sorta bad or something? like his supporting the destruction of the nanagou.. i dont get why is she so weak.. i mean i thought she is like the dragon reincarnate or something like that? she's just like a normal human who can swing her hand at the speed of sound and she can jump really high and run really fast.. faster then human though... all in all.. she sucks.. |

Wow these animators need to be dragged out and shot. The best monster they can come up with is a white blob? Hime acts like a spoiled brat this whole episode, Akina acts like the douchebag he is and smiles throughout without doing anything till the last minute, and the rest of the cast is useless. Why does it take so long to tune the second blob when the first one took 10 seconds? How does Hime swinging a spear cause it to hurt the white blob when it looks like a tap? Why didn't Hime support refuge of the citizens and act like a leader? Why hasn't Enjin just killed these fools already? |

I wonder if the "blob" monster is in the manga (which I haven't read). If so, then the animation production isn't to blame for the suddenly uninspired monster design. The main characters really aren't growing. This is turning out to be the sort of anime where I scream at the characters to do better. They're too childish. I can forgive the whole "children in control of adult business" conceit that so many stories depend upon, but in return the children have to show that they're up to the task. At this point I can't believe that Enjin will be defeated. In fact, it would be bittersweet if he does meet with defeat, since all signs point to him destroying the city. |

Okay after watching this episode I now know that it is going to be like all the other endings. Going to leave off with way to many unanswered questions but I will finish it only because I have started it. For this episode I give a 6.5 some parts were good but just not enough of it to get a good rating. |
