Still worried that Akane is also suited to 'join' Sybil.

I have the same worry as you Hpulley, considering Urobochi's fondness of bringing misery to his characters.

Either Akane got kidnapped, turned into Sybil, and Ko has to kill her
or
Akane, after killing Ko, willingly join Sybil to reform the system from the inside.

I suspect the latter will happen. Perhaps Akane will realize that unlike the others in Sybil who are essentially megalomaniacs, she can be a force for good in the system. I could see Akane sacrificing herself for the good of mankind. All her friends are dead anyways, killed by Makishima, she doesn't have much tying her down to keep her from offering to join.

Something like that is worthy of a 10/10 masterpiece. A unique, unconventional, and logical ending considering Akane personality and all the built up so far. In the OP, Akane was holding the Dominator while Ko was holding a pistol. If that is forshadowing anything, Ko chose freewills and probably died by it, Akane chose the system and survived.
I think Akane is the real main lead of the story, Ko and Makishima are supporting leads while other characters are supporting only.

Boy, I'm begining to think that Makishima may have a point in wanting to destroy the Sibyl System, it kinda look like that the old lady is an android and may wanna take over the world.

What a crazy episode!!

Makishima continues to reforce his place onto the hall of villains!
The climax point of his "execution": "Do you still feel fear of dying after receiving
God´s perception?" Creepy. Just. Creepy.

Hummm, I can't believe that old lady was a man before turining into a cyborg, so it looks like that she or he and Makishima are the main baddies.

I think I just got spoiled from watching Madoka lol
I'm actually savoring it for the moment until after finishing some light-heart comedy such as Love Live! A heart can only takes so much. It's the same as after watching Phantom: Requiem (also created by Uro), I need some life restoration.

Edit: Noted. I did not mind this spoiler at all since if I pretty much have an idea about the plot already. It does not take my enjoyment down one bit.

Shoot, sorry, doesn't help you now but I just spoiler tagged my post if you want to edit yours... The show sort of spoils itself in the first five minutes with a greek drama style beginning premonition at the climax, hmm exactly like Psycho Pass again!

Yeah, I first watched Madoka in one sitting, in the dark, it was really intense!

Wouldnt it be cool if this had 50+ more episodes left and each episode would have been about killing a sibyl brain agent boss, and as it progreses, the villains get stronger and stronger with makishima or Akane (brain form) being the final boss.

They brain agents would have different fighting techniques/weaknesses.

One could have fire powers, while another could have water powers, or mechanical powers, etc.

Wow, didn't see that coming. Sibyl is just a collection of select human brains to make one big processing machine. Dafuqqqqq.

So is Kagari really dead? They hinted that there's a chance he's still alive in the entire first half of the episode. There's also the video camera of Choe Gu Seong's; after Choe was shot, it shows Kasei shot Kagari, but there's not bodily bits or blood flying out. And he was standing right next to Choe right before he died.

So Shogo defies everything and decides, "Fuck this shit, I'm staying as a player in this wonderful game." Lol. You would think they would give the body of Sibyl better armor or something to protect it from events like this...

in the end, who is the bad guy again? -_-" must admit makishima is kinda cool, but sadly he killed akane's friend so he's still bad for me.

The truth comes to light, and as expected somewhat, a seriously messed-up system. Nice explanation.
I really like Makishima right now, I knew that he'd reject the offer, and beat up the disgusting woman chief, or man. Either way, it was pretty satisfying watching that.

If it were me, I would never want to be reduced to just a brain, and just stay there and judge people, so stupid.
Also, poor Kagari.

I agree with you, I mean I get why Makishima acts that way, but I can't overlook how little he regards human life (aka Yuki) . Why do I have a feeling they may want to "harvest" Akane later on for the system? :O Also, does anyone else think that Kagari might actually be part of the system (unknowingly?) and is only an android? Which could explain why the dominator went into decomposer mode when the chief overrode the system? Even though it probably makes no sense coz he eats and stuff XD but ah well.

Is Kasei really dead? if i understood the explanation correctly, Kasei's brain should be at the ministry of welfare, controlling the android wirelessly and the only thing Shogo did was destroy the bot, if the sybil system has more of the bots available, it can just send out another Kasei.

Anyone catch the name on the spine of the book Shogou was holding?
I think it says The Marquis de Sade.
edit: Just threw a screenshot into photoshop and adjusted the exposure. I t is The Marquis de Sade, most likely a collection of his writings and I'm guessing that this story
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Justine,_or_the_Misfortunes_of_Virtue
is important
Also this story Eugénie de Franval which contains this quote "To enlighten mankind and improve its morals is the only lesson which we offer in this story. Makishima was insanely awesome this episode. He's such a great antagonist. The way he figured out that he wasn't actually at the HQ and the way he destroyed the chief was so good! Makishima 'appearing' beside Kougami at the end actually gave me the chills lol. Then not long after Kougami gets a call from Makishima. Talk about creepy timing. xD It was great to see the insides of the Sibyl System as well. Last 5 episodes are bound to be fucking epic. Cannot wait!

Oh damn, things take yet another twist. Makishima by all comparisons is an evil guy, with no empathy for others. He wants to continue being evil, it's amazing that I almost sympathize with it in the face of the Sibyl System being revealed as people striving to be god.

And the bit after the credits was great, things are really gonna go crazy to close out.

The Sybil system will not be greatly disturbed by this, he didn't kill anything big... just one brain and one easily replacable artificial body.

He killed one of the many brains that inhabit "the chief" body, but "the chief" is still "alive". I wouldn't be surprised if they had replacement bodies ready.
