| According to the official blog, Kobayashi Ritz, the author of manga "Saki", has announced that she (?) had been hospitalized due to an serious injury she got during a business trip. She had a surgery under general anesthesia and recently left the hospital. The release of the 11th volume of the comic book will be delayed for one month and the serialization of the manga on Young GanGan will be suspended until she will fully recover from the injury. | Well, atleast its only a 1 month hiatus(from what i've heard). I hope she gets better soon. | Before you panic, thinking "Oh no, Zenkoku-hen is going to get pushed back even more!", please note that Ritz has spoiled and will spoil things that haven't even happened in the manga yet via the anime, so whenever it was slated to air, it'll air regardless of this. :P Anyways... I hope she has a swift recovery with no complications. :) |

Or we are seeing yet another case of changes made that impacted users but not communicated to them? I wonder how long people would put up with this. As much as I have a bunch of information to share about anime announced recently I cannot share it in news board, and the anime series is too disorganized and chaotic to share information except with people already interested in the particular series. |

I believe the variety of human talent is less easy to predict than we often think. If we have guys drawing shoujo manga, BL manga or yuri manga, I believe that a guy can also draw something like Saki. If anything one may also argue that only a guy can create a superpower battle scenes like Saki or know details of mahjong rules so well like in Saki. only woman can create such mellow faces full of yuri vibes. Not saying Ritz is definitely a man. More like I am open to both the possibility that Ritz is a woman and that he is a man. |
