Wow, a storm of references to other TV shows, including Monty Python's Fly Circus which is British, not American. Not making the distinction between English-speaking countries?

American version of the division 2 was fun, blond Noa was especially a treat.

They parodied themselves WTF
Not just themselves, but the stereotypes LOL

There also seemed to have been quite a number of references I didn't get, most probably due to them being old.

Jizzy as you would call yourself because youre a dick The most butthurt award goes to you And clearly you havent watched that many shows thats why you cant determine if a show is unique or not Or maybe you're just a child who likes common stuffs where hero saves the day and guys gets all the girls. Sad taste you have there kid you came up to me in the first place making you look more like a kid who got slapped without me even knowing it and start crying about it to me

Already I knew that this episode would be a digression from the original path of the story. Almost surprisingly he sees himself, Shigeo mechanic Labor; strange dreams that he does, many references among them I recognized them, others do not unfortunately.

@Fronzel
which is British, not American

Also other British shows like UFO, Captain Scarlet and Thunderbirds, all from the producers Gerry and Sylvia Anderson - well beloved in Japan I think. For example there are some references to Thunderbirds and Stingray in One Piece.

Here also references to Gundam, Giant Robo and the villainess looks a bit like Doronjo from Yatterman.

From hero to falling from the stairs.

Hilarious episode.

One Piece episode 914 & 915 & 1027 were a mistake and 957 brought the salvation - FMmatron

What an excellent episode! And is a great example of self-parodying done right.

One of the most hilarious episodes of Patlabor, rivaling Oshii's ones!

The old man in the lab seemed like a parody of Moongaze Ginji from Red Spectacles

Also, the way Noa was running away and losing breath was a self-parody of the alligator episode lmao

I wonder what a real trip would have looked like :D
