For the thousandths time, why the fuck didn't mion use her friggin' gun!!!

Awesome episode, awesome arc, really pumped about the next arc arc (13 episodes.. its gonna be a big one!) but they seemed to have finally cracked it!

Still a few things need explaining but this shows doing a better job of the plot then I ever thought was possible, I was expecting a Stephen King-esque cop out explanation..

Gah,I never thought I could hate Takano more than I did before I saw that episode. Insane wannabe-god bitch! D: And her laugh's so cheap.

I can't wait to start the new arc! Hanyuu should play a much bigger role now that our people noticed her existence ^^

Well...we knew it was gonna happen.
What a nice ending for it though, everyone together like that. And I knew there was something up with Hanyuu's lack of hope that was amiss and just wasn't right for things.

And Furude Rika can forget things sometimes?:| I thought she said earlier that she could remember everything. That was supposed to be what made her special. I mean she knows she's been through this a hundred years. And she can remember every time I have seen.

Though by the looks of it it looks like now they've gained her ability, however possible.
I guess it was only a matter of time after they remembered past events a little bit. I still didn't expect it though. And not so soon for sure.

And so....the hope still rings! Even more resounding that before even! I can't wait to see the rest of this show.

I love her so much
and it made me really sad to see her cry because she triied so hard to help rika and everyone else fight fate. And all she could do was stand there and watch everyone die.
That was so sad:(
But now its the end of this arc time to reset and see what happens

Hauuu! This was really an awesome (if very sad) episode. I was reminded again why Rena is such an awesome character; she really shined this time. This also explains some of the confusing things from earlier in the series -- why so many Hinamizawa people were in the school (and why some, including Rena, were missing), and of course, Takano's role in everything.

That explains why the villagers were dressed in casual clothing, at night. That issue bug me alot.
They were rounded up like animals, confined in rooms, and forced to breathe poison. So no volcanic gases, nor aliens involved.
This also explains why was Rena running around in the mountains at night. She probably escaped the roundings by the military, but was hunted down in the end. So Satoko uncovered the conspiracy, and was murdered because of it. Since that was an anime-only arc, I don't think we need to discuss that it about it.
Nice team-work! Too bad they all died, again, in the end :2
Damn that Takano. Even if her reasons for going mad are pityable, I'll still hate that cold-blooded bitch from now on.

Rena was totally awsome this episode. She stood up against the crazy bitch Takano and faced death without a trace of fear. Sakoto is extremely annoying when she have all these mental breakdown and start crying like the world is gonna end and she just want to die.

I still have some questions to ask reguarding the disease. Remember previously, when Keichii and Sakoto were the only survivors? Why didnt they kill them and cover up their deaths together with the other villagers since they too are infected with the disease.

When Keiichi survived, he could still have been assassinated...we just didn't show it...But if he didn't discover anything, they have no reason to kill him. Just like in one world, Rena survived, but she went mad so they didn't bother to kill her....

And the disease is "apparently" not contagious, only Hinamizawans have it....But I could be wrong....

Eventho theres not much violence at these events, it's absolutely the climax of the series. Everything is clear. The mysterious deaths (like Tomitake's, Fake corpse of That bitch) and the disease. I really got pumped up when i saw the others helping Rika and Satoko on the escape event. I hoped that Rena would have sliced the guys with her hatchet. Rika, Fate can be changed. Remeber, to kick the takano bitch's ass, and save Hinamizawa. AuAuAuu~

I cried so hard when Keiichi had to die alone in the forest watching his friends run off. And then again, when Mion looked at K's blood on her hand and decided to follow his fate. Just when I was feeling really sorry for Rika, Keiichi grabbed her hand and told her everything was going to be okay. I lost it completely. T_T So good!

so everyone dies that easily? just when they seem to be winning, they get killed. well, thats higurashi for you

Well I guess that explains why everyone was dead in the school before and why Rena's hat was found out in the mountains.

Also I suppose that one episode is a good enough reason for the arc to be called massacre....

You can't use a gun in Hinamizawa, I almost felt like that was cheating. Takano no yatsu. But a very good episode, for a minute I thought they were going to crush fate and all that but then I remembered that it was only the 13th episode.

I teared up when Keiichi died and when Rika got watanagashi'd like that ;o;
Takano's fail evil laugh made me really mad for some reason.

You know how they say there is a thin line between love and hate? That's how I feel about this episode lol.

The bonds between friends coming together was amazing. They were able to orchestrate everything as if it were a dance. The determination, devotion, and trust has "wow"d me throughout this arc in general, not to mention this arc has allowed me to love all 7 of our main characters.

I loved the fight scenes in this episode--I was waiting for some Bankai!Rika & co. have some moves!! xD Loved that.

Sooo...the hate part. I hate to cry. It broke my heart when Keiichi hit the ground, and then when Mion's body fell, I lost it. I cried until the end of the episode, not going to lie. Geez, it's hard to see any of them dying..you watch so many episodes with them, and come to love them so much, and bam they are dead (again >.>).

I hope Rena's words took a chunk out of Takano's ego. Rena was great. I don't want to say too much so I'll end this. I don't honestly want to hear about Takano's past, but I will be like Rika and push forward with this series haha :D I hope Rika can carry these memories over, and I am ready to see more Hanyuu! The rest of this series better be more uplifting though lol.

**Edit: One thing I am not satisfied with: When Rika starts over in a new Hinamizawa, are all the previous ones destroyed? If not, I guess all those bad things that happened in the past will continue to exist (including Takano's horrifying acts)--though, obviously, they are of use since everyone has been recalling scraps of memories from the past they can learn from!! Anyway, if Rika & co. conquer the new world, will it wipe out the old H's perhaps? I'm not making since ._.

First season was scare as hell. It was so scary that at night I paused player at went to bed.
Second season (and especially this episeode) not so scary, but very touching.
I cried almost every whole episode.

Super-late response. Watched it last year.

I cried. Seriously. I BAWWWWWed during and after this episode.

And that's why I love it. 5/5
