YESS!
I so don't care if it's possible or not, but HIBITO IS ALIVE!

This finally conclude all the consecutive cliffhangers! :')

And I'm so happy that we get to see a annoyed Hibito and a teary-eyed Hibito. :)

I love Uchuu Kyoudai!

Explain to me how Hibito can move after running out of oxygen. I know you can last a little while after running out of oxygen... but can you actually get up and move, and be focused enough to connect tubes? Or are they just doing it to make it dramatic?

Not sure if it would've made me further love the show if Hibito died, but I prefer him dying over surviving like this... If he died, then 1)collapse, then 2)the other astronauts come and are frustrated/sadden by his death. I feel like it would be realistic for Hibito to die in this situation... and Mutta suffering from it.

OK. Now back to Mutta's training!

holy shit, I was crying for the last 5 minutes, so glad he was saved.

Btw, they were sending all the probes (or however they're called) in that direction, it was explained 2 episodes ago.

It really is bs that he was still able to breathe even though he should've been out of oxygen for like at least 20 seconds, but whatever.

I'M JUST SO HAPPY HE ISN'T DEAD!

even if they did intentionally send Brian-03 there
still don't quite make sense how he is able to move while having brain damage due to lack of oxygen.

Yessss!!!! I was literally praying for Hibito.. xD OMG I'm so happy :) i know in some animes, you kind of want the character to die to see what happens, but with Uchuu Kyoudai I'm just so connected with them I can't bear to see a death.

That was totally unpredictable and improbable, but I don't care :') HIBITO IS ALIVE!!!!!!! <3333

For me, it was obvious from the start what Azuma said to the boss. I knew that they'll send Brian-03 to the direction Mutta showed them. The only thing I didn't know was if they gonna make it on time.
Glad to see that Hibito is safe :)

Great episodes. One of the few times I can take something coming out of nowhere to save a character, watching Hibito die was painful.

This was the first time I didn't want an anime character to die. I was really moved and happy Hibito survived.

I also think Brian 03 was sent to Hibito after Azuma's suggestion.

After losing all of the oxygen in the tank Hibito would still be alive for a few minutes (his brain wouldn't be damaged), but he should've lost consciousness. I don't care, though. I'm glad he's OK.

It was beautiful to see Brian helping Hibito. But what an asspull that was! How is Hibito able to stand up and think properly in this kind of situation?

somepoeple can hold their breath for 5 min and swim
hibito is young and runs a lot with builds up stamina and big lungs thus he has the capacity to move atleast 4 min after he had his last breath

It was so painful to watch Hibito run out of oxygen and start gasping for what little air was left. I could feel my eyes tearing up and I was sure that this was the end of the line for him. The moment Hibito saw a vision of Brian as he was about to die I nearly broke down for the first time watching anime.

The way they use flashbacks to tie in everything is done so amazingly, I could feel the emotions and power behind Brian 03 coming to Hibito's rescue like he used to in his training days.

Brilliant series.

Really good stuff.

It's been a tense few episodes, and I really wasn't sure if they were gonna go through and kill off Hibito. But after explicitly showing him suffer the way he did after his oxygen timer hit zero, I had a feeling that he wasn't going to die. It just didn't feel like the right way to send his character off.

Ultimately it was the right move, and it's great how they did so by connecting his flashback.

I am speechless. I agree that Hibito should have died in that situation. It's impossible to stand and walk like that after losing oxygen. But I'm glad, I am glad that he is alive. Really, good episode.

Damn it, Hibito didn't die! The death by suffocation was so well done I teared up a little. It would have been intresting to see how Mutta would react if Hibito had died. Would he still pursue astronaut career? What would he think? How'd his family react if he'd still want to continue on that path? Now.... meh...

Guys remember Astronauts are alot stronger then normal humans . They have been training their bodies for who knows how many years to survive this kinds of situations. Also he still had oxygen in his suit even though there was no more in the tank. It might have lasted him a bit more then expected. Eitherway im glad he wasnt dead , willpower saves the day!

Wtf? That's it. I'm dropping this series.

I'm joking! That was an awesome episode. I really liked the flashback at the beginning with Brian. It gave the episode room for Hibito's character development. Now, Hibito was real lucky to have Brian-03 arrive before he actually went into full oxygen deprivation. Maybe it was the real spirit of Brian that had saved him.

Also, it was real interesting to see Azuma in a panicked state, instead of his calm and collected demeanor as we know his character to be.

I totally forgot about that... Makes sense! Because even if they do send Brian - 03 over to the other side and he isn't there, then it's OK. Buddy and them probably have some kind of oxygen tank on them.

This was one amazing episode. To be honest, I was surprised a bit with the ending, as I had sort of made peace with the idea of Hibito passing away.. but this was a great outcome as well. It was too soon for either one of the brothers to die this part in the story anyways.. Now, onto a bright future where both will meet in space~

you know, i don't think i'm the only one watching this anime who finds what happened with Hibito isn't impossible or improbable.

i think it was just sheer willpower/training experience on his part after beginning to hallucinate Brian when he fell slightly unconscious, and then that's when he began to hold his breath for a little longer than the 2-3 minutes of losing oxygen in order to see/stand/walk. it really shouldn't be too long after the oxygen tank turned off. it's not like it was 5 minutes later before the Brian bot arrived. combined with that, there was his will to survive and the Brian hallucination, so i found it entirely acceptable.

there were many ways the bot could've reached him in the nick of time: Azuma whispering about it, Buddy going with his instincts/desperation and telling them about the flashing thing Hibito saw, the bot already heading around that area from when it was first sent out. Hibito didn't even get that far away from the mini astronaut. basically, Brian showed it the way. it never just came out of "nowhere".

the people who disliked what happened should remember not to be so pessimistic and that this is still just an anime.
