The story is decent, but a mark of a really good story is that the viewer is, upon finishing it, able to reflect on the story and see just how much it has changed. Admittedly, the story does progress in R2, but developments lack the sense of gravity and importance. The characters and their designs are somewhat of an acquired taste in that I was able to appreciate them after I get used to them. Unfortunately, the same can not be said about the designs of the mecha, which are utterly atrocious and, thus, make the fights unappealing and uninteresting (I realize this makes little sense, but bear with me). The musical score was alright, but animation is where CG really shines. The show has neither excessive fanservice (except for Pizza Hut fanservice, mmmm), nor gore or romance, so I am left completely baffled at just what made this series so insanely popular.' Good Lord, those are 5 minutes wasted I am never going to get back. |

| I know this isn't fair for me to put this here. But in my honest my opinion, my reviews are cancerous. I don't know why I can't put some effort into reviews. Well I don't have a lot of time and get bored in the middle of a paragraph. But there was a SAO reviews saying this "SAO is the best anime ever and if you hate it you have to die the anime is amazing. it doesn't deserve a 10/10 the animation was amazing so i gave it a 100 girls would be screaming all night for it i hope you guys love me and all" It was deleted for spam and trolling. Some guy on Mangafox suggested it to me. But it turns out to be deleted. I'm not sure how it went exactly. |
| Regarding THEM anime reviews, my opinion is more lukewarm than negative overall. Some writers, as Stig Høgset, get their points across profusely, while other ones have bad ethical code regarding critic (Carlos Ross, Raphael See). I have read plenty of reviews where these two didn't even bother to watch entirety of series. They're just doing it sloppily, even with shows worth taking notes of... On the other hand, I like how THEM team cover obscurities, at times. And the whole informative mentions about content is practical. At least, you know what to expect before getting started. |

| Oh I agree, Arabic OPs are pretty solid overall, a shame that the dubs 90% of the time don't live up to how solid they are.
