| My favorite type of jokes in anime is when it's not joking and is actually serious about what it's doing, which happens to be the joke. Computer programming, swimming, animation studio culture; it's actually trying to be educational, which is the joke. It's even funnier when the real life images were used, making me imagine Golden Boy's animator team just took pictures of their own studio and just started making meta jokes out of a show that was already making meta jokes about itself. I mean, it's praising the animation process and the wonders that mere colors and pictures can bring art to life here, in a show that features a main character with a toilet seat fetish. Then the show has the gallbladder to try and connect all of its previous episodic stories in a single piece of work, something which any normal anime wouldn't bother to deal with. I really like this anime, and because of that, I hate this anime. What..what gives? Why was it this anime that was given so much attention and effort? Why was it made with so much care and effort? Where was this in other titles that were riddled with cliches, stock characters and safe, middle-of-the-road plots that lend to general appeal with little ambition or personal vision? The greatest joke of this anime was that it wasn't a joke. This was a real anime that was made by people who cared about what they were doing. Just...dammit. |

| the ova overall was entertaining i guess ... i really didn't except much from a fanservice anime it was pretty cool to see all the girls from the previous episodes helping the mc in the last episode tho |

| The two first episodes were the best, then is started to get a bit too repetitive. Anyway, great series overall. Too bad ecchi-comedy anime of this quality are so rare. |
| Although not the funniest episode, it was still the most entertaining episode. A surprisingly "proper" conclusion to this 6 episode OVA series. All the episodes were enjoyable, but the last two episodes were definitely the best. Benkyou/10 |

| I kinda wish more OVAs like this were made nowadays. I usually hate ecchi in anime, because it usually takes away from the story, but here it is the story. Kintaro hilarious adventures had me laughing more than any other “comedy” anime I’ve seen in recent memory. |

| Man, one of the funniest if not the 2nd funniest anime I've ever watched (nothing can beat daily lives of highschool boys)! The dubbed version made it even funnier aswell. Main character was great, and I'll probably rewatch this someday. 8.4/10 |
| What a great way to end this series! Bringing back all the girls he helped out / charmed so far was a clever idea. My favorite part was his high-speed boob dive. And of course no episode is complete without him weirdly obsessing over a toilet seat. I don't get that fetish at all, but it's still funny. :P I also liked that the episode was about animation. I wished it was more action-packed like last episode (which is still by far my favorite), but it had a certain charm and was more interesting than some others. Overall I'd say that Golden Boy sits between a 6/10 and 7/10 for me, which on my own rating scale is pretty good! I will go with a 7/10 now and give it the benefit of the doubt. Because the good parts really were that good! /edit: I changed it to a 6/10. :P Which is still good! (my average score is around 4.5) |

| This is the Shirobako episode lol This episode also showed the limit between me and Kintaro- man, even I wouldn't want to get frisky with a toilet in a unisex bathroom, even if a pretty woman did just use it This was pretty great, especially the ending that tied the previous five episodes together Kintaro's choice to not graduate and not seek lifetime employment but to live as a freeter seeking to continually learn and improve himself is a surprisingly inspirational model for an ecchi anime protagonist. Considering the genre, I think Golden Boy deserves its score of 8 on this site. ...Did I mention the character designs were hot and mostly my types? |

| With this being the final episode, they sure went all out with the execution and I appreciate that. This one is by far the most educational episode in the anime because it revealed so much about the process of animating and to an extent, the usual happenings in a small anime studio (and an ecchi one at the side as well). Kintaro worked his hardest to make his own anime and having him call all of the girls he had met throughout his journey to help him out in different ways was awesome. It's already impressive enough that he wins the girl over and leaves off into the sunset but having all of them come together like a harem and still ditching them afterwards makes Kintaro the ultimate virgin Chad. |

| Now that's how you do an ending. It was satisfying to come back full circle, the girls make one last appearance + they actually do something to help him out in return. I didn't expect anything else for such a short and stupidly fun series. It definitely would have dragged on if it kept going. The scene where Kintarou was looking at the workstations - I'm sure the animators preferred drawing the desks clean than actually doing it haha. |

I actually didnt think the anime would be this good, the comedy is so well done The sexualized theme actually does it justice instead of all the other ecchi shows that have come after and are still coming out. 10/10 - Golden Gem :) |

| It's kind of disappointing. the anime is full of different fetish like toilet fetish, bike masturbating, spit eating, ass leaking etc. People actually liked is so much!!! (score of 8...lol) it's not bad per say, but its not very good either |

| The only episode I kinda liked. Yes, filled with contrived and cheesy writing but still enjoyable to some extent. I also liked how meta it all got during certain moments. In general, this set of OVAs wasn't really of my enjoyment. Girls were quite shallow as characters and though Kintarou is actually a good guy, his horny personality was way too cringey for my taste. I also didn't like the comedy and the ecchi was mostly meh to my eyes. Scenes with Reiko touching herself in episode 5 are the exception tho. 3/10 - Episodes 3 and 6 were the only decent ones and Ayuko remains as the hottest girl in my book. |
| unapologetic power fantasy for men that I wished I enjoyed more because I like unapologetic power fantasy for men . it´s not boring, but could have been more creative and funnier. And Noriko is underrated. |

| Kin-chan has some hard toilet fetish. Wouldn't be surprised if he's into scat as well. Ironic that the episode about animation is the last episode of this anime. Wish there were more episodes. It's short but sweet. I loved that all the girls from the previous returned in the last episode! Epic crossover. My favorite girl is probably Noriko-chan. |
| Eh, I didn't think Golden Boy was as funny as other people seem to, and the story was kinda meh, but I did like this ending. I was happy to see the different subplots coming all together. |
