| According to the official website, a new TV anime titled "Straight Title Robot Anime" was announced to be aired from February 6th. It's a 15 minutes x 1 cours series and the CGI is produced by the free 3D animation program MikuMikuDance. | So MAL finally starts locking news threads that are only a few weeks old? I wonder where was the announcement of this change? Or we are seeing yet another case of changes made that impacted users but not communicated to them? I wonder how long people would put up with this. As much as I have a bunch of information to share about anime announced recently I cannot share it in news board, and the anime series is too disorganized and chaotic to share information except with people already interested in the particular series. |
| Unless they spend a lot of time in it. And use lots of complex add-ons there is no way it will match the quality of other animation softwares used by professionals. But it always is nice to see new ways of seeing anime being made. |

| Oh god no, using MMD for any serious animation project is horrifying. The clipping is horrible, and 90% of the animation made in it looks strange. Also other than that those robot designs look generic and uninteresting. If this isn't a comedy this will probably turn out bad. |

| MMD Anime? Put Lat or Tda Miku and i will watch it with pop-corn in the hand. Too bad it's not about Miku. On the other hand. i wonder what they will use. I saw some MMD PV's using MMDCup9 with some other softwares. They looks great. Wakamura and Thanks also have some great MMD PV's. |

| That Touhou video up there is great, but it's a year old. Hopefully, someone here has actually watched the newest from the mecha genre of MMDs on nicovideo. (Nicovideo apparently has English features now on the .jp website, so you can all at least get the jist of it on an economy account. Unfortunately, premium is unavailable, so you'll have to aim for the right time of day to get HD quality.) Those of you who aren't up for finding out what you're missing out on, you will probably get your youtube versions of MMDCup10 around February 20th or so. MMDCup10 Exhibition Preview: MMD Adaptation of Armored Core I can assure you more than half of those who have never heard of MMD would think this is the actual game. The full version is to be released on February 15th. BeammanP's OP is already worth looking forward to. Something extra, for those who were fond of Smash Bros. Melee Smash Bros. TH 15sec CM of the anime in question, though it's hard to tell whether it's comedy or not. |
