And as expected, Sword Art Online selling like crazy.

So great to see the different Dog Days' volumes selling consistently.

Whoever is in charge of updating their website needs to step it up. I haven't seen anything as far as an official announcement regarding season 3, even though Takuya Fujima tweeted it.

Hmm. Mainly the rankings are posted on Tuesday. Did the day change this time because of holidays?

Good to see change of studio and average animation didn't affect LB sales much.

This is how to make sarcasm appear more evident over the interweb.

WOW. I'm super surprised. TLR Darkness actually managed to outsell the low-tier ecchi nonsense that was the first season and even Motto, that was so epic with its mini segments based on random single chapters.

Hopefully they're buying simply to show support for KEY, not the anime adaptation itself.

Showing support for KEY would be actually buying the games instead. IMO buying the adaptation is obviously to and will support the adaptation and JC Staff, but obviously most of these sales would stem from the fact that it's a KEY adaptation.

Also happy that Chuunibyou, Gintama and especially Darkness sold so much. Hopefully Darkness season 2.

Really happy with the hidamari sales, it exceeded stalker estimation, now there's a good chance that there will be a fifth season.

Since stalker currently predict vol 2 ~5500k, lower than vol 1 prediction ~1500k, i wonder if it right to assume the actual sale difference between two volumes will be roughly the same, or is it inconsistent with each volume (i'm still fairly new to stalker) ?

Misdreavius said:

If i'm not mistaken, KEY is a member of the production committee so part of the profit from the adaption will go to them as well.

Surprised to see LB sales. I thought they would be smaller. reception in Japan seems better than I expected...
...But then, JC Staff still haven't come to the most difficult part to adapt of the VN. So I'm not so excited with this good reception; let's wait until later.

This is what I think too - and as I said, we're still not in the most difficult part of the adaptation. Depending on how they will handle the structure of the story and the other routes in anime format, my guess is that the reception can change considerably.

I guess shojo fans don't own DVD players? I don't understand as the DVD is 4725 yen (3467 on sale at amazon) while the BD is 5775 yen (4273 on sale at amazon) so you don't save much by getting the DVD.

I bought a copy, BD of course, and love it so I know they sold at least one, sniff... Lots of nice goodies in there, the co-event with Tonari no Kaibutsu kun is fun too. Love the commentary.

Like I said in the previous sales thread, it's good to see LB sold better than your average anime.

Still, in terms of franchise sales, this is the lowest since Kanon 2002 I think. It doesn't even come close to the last four Key adaptations.

With that aside, great to see Hyouka still selling well. I hope it gets a second week to stay consistent with its 9k+ per volume. Also hope we'll see #'s for additional Chuunibyou sales after its release week. The threshold for this list's sales week was pretty high so we didn't get to see how much it sold after the first week, but I hope it will be revealed later.

Can's say I find Little Busters to be too amazing, but it's better than most stuff floating around.

SAO is above average to me, despite all it's undeserved popularity, it's still not unwatchable(though I put it on hold after the pink haired girl)

Why is Chunnibyou selling so well? Kyoto Animation. I wish KyoAni would just stop wasting their money and finally produce a Haruhi season 3 -_-

Oh, Accel World is pretty underrated... I thought it would at least sell 9000+ copies this disc

I really didn't understand did KyoAni not adapt Little busters and instead chose something like Chunnibyou. UGH. If they adapted LB I believe the first week would've had 20k sales
