There are some stuff.

- It has a bit more focus on Nanoha's friends and family
- Fate's personality is somewhat different in the series compared to the movie. She hided her emotions more. in the series. And she seems even more determined to grant her mothers wish, than in the movie. Even until the very end.

That's the majority of it. It's worth watching if you enjoyed the movie. Honestly, considering the movie was shy under 2hrs, and the series is about four hrs total...there is a lot missing. But it's mainly with the characters themselves. The series better portrays the characters, while the movie looks cooler while doing it.

This was a pretty nice watch. 8/10, going to watch the following 2 seasons and movie at some point.

That whole series started off rather boring and slow-paced (oh, how I hated those transforming scenes) but managed to get better each and every episode until it eventually turned around the clichéd mahou shoujo image. Really enjoyed it in the end. Though I still wonder how some nine years old can be that analytical as well as self-critical.

Just recently finished chugging down the last half of the series in one night. I feel like I should like the female characters more than the male ones, but I don't.

I was pretty disappointed that Nanoha and Precia didn't even come face to face. She just fights a bunch of robots and the end.

But this isn't the story of a hero saving the world. It's more like a love at first sight story disguised with subtext. Why else would Nanoha be so obsessed with a girl she just met?

My whole time watching, I completely forgot these were nine year olds, which worked better for my enjoyment.

I feel generous rating it a 6/10. I've been on a Mahou Shoujo kick lately, trying to experience some of the more beloved titles in the genre. This one really felt like Mahou Shoujo in name only.

Hmm. I thought it was good overall - worth a 7/10. The characters were good, the action was good (excepting the magical girl transformation scenes which I find get old real fast), and the villain a "good" villain. I also could have done without the fanservice, but it wasn't to much. My main problem is these 9 year olds sure didn't act like 9 year olds, but I didn't dwell on that to much.

Friendship pawa.....

This series is not as good as people say it is. Story is too predictable and too much melodrama in last few episodes.

I just finished it a few days ago and I'm halfway through Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha A's.

Overall, I thought it was a nice episode; It was a pretty good way to wrap things up, but it was so sad when Fate and Nanoha had to leave each other.

There were some parts of the show I found annoying, though; The ending was somewhat cheesy, and Nanoha and Fate resembled typical girls from other animes. I watched Madoka Magica before this, and they paralled Madoka and Homura.

That's incorrect actually. Madoka and Homura paralleled Nanoha and Fate, as Nanoha and Fate came years before Madoka Magica was even in the production process.

Well yeah, you're right-I just watched Madoka Magica before Nanoha, so that's why I said that. xD But yeah, I just thought the similarities were interesting. X3

In the end I'd give it 8/10, the beginning was too slow and by episode three i was actually kinda bored. Thank god i kept watching, the last few episodes were spectacular. ~And

This is a good way to end. Nanoha meets with Fate one last time, then goes back to her normal life. In the meantime, they're clearly setting up for the second season. Overall, I liked the series and I can't wait to watch the more-heralded next season.
It's official. Guren no Yumiya is the Japanese version of Guile's theme.

Loved it! The scene between Nanoha and Fate was indeed beautiful, the episode title and Nanoha saying "Call my name" was really touching, 8 / 10
