According to Anime News Network, Maiden Japan has licensed Tokyo Magnitude 8.0. The series will be released on April 2 in dual audio blu-ray and DVD through their distributor Section23 Films.

According to their official press release, Sentai Filmworks has licensed Tegami Bachi Reverse. The series will be available later this year through digital outlets and on subtitled DVD.

Tokyo Magnitude is a great title, I'm glad it's licensed in your country: here in Italy it was aired by the public broadcasting service and it was appreciated even by non-fans (74.000 spectators on Sunday morning as peak on episode 7).

Eeeek!

I opened the RSS feed and saw the words (and number I guess) "Tokyo Magnitude 8.0" and almost screamed.

I thought there was a magnitude 8.0 earthquake in Tokyo!

This is the first time I hear of these two anime, and they both seem interesting choices.

Plan to watch for sure.

That's great but I already knew this. The people who licensed Tokyo Magnitude in Australia said it on their Facebook page.

Yeah, there were rumours floating around on Siren Visual's FB page about Tokyo Magnitude 8.0 being licensed here, and they posted saying they "had no idea how it slipped through the cracks" (har har, get it?).

Anyway, haven't seen either yet, but I may have to pick them up after this news. I've heard good things about both of them.

I don't know who the hell Maiden Japan is, but I DO know who Section23 is, and a dual audio release piques my interest.

WOOOOOOO WOOOOOOOOOOO! That anime was truly one of the most tear-jerking anime I ever saw. I cried and it took me a full day to recover from the heavy crying.

YEEEEEEEESSSSS!!! Tokyo Magnitude 8.0's finally licensed and getting dubbed! Just what it rightfully deserves!

But one wish: they BETTER cast Brittney Karbowski as Mirai or some butts will be kicked!
