I was playing The Last Story on the Wii the other day when I ran into an interesting glitch. One of the side quests in Lazulis City involves Zael chasing a boy who stole a key through town. The town itself is virtually stream-less, but as I rounded a corner I ran into an interesting predicament. Instead of the town being fully loaded, that section of the town was not there. Instead there was a blue field with a number of NPC walking around. You could see the rest of the city in the background. I could run across the blue plane, and as I ran the rest of the city loaded. Anyway, I was wondering just what that glitch is called. I wasn't out of the over world, obviously, but it was obviously some sort of loading glitch. Does anyone know its proper name? ![]() |

That sounds more like a rendering error than a loading error. If that section wasn't loaded, you probably would have just fallen through. I'm sure there's a technical term for just about everything, but unless you're a debugger there's not much point to knowing them. Simply describing the glitch is good enough for most people. In this case, I'd just say "unrendered section" or "rendering error." |
