YES! YES! Y-E-YES! I am just watching the series now but so far I am aboslutely loving it. Easily one of my favorite series of all time. I just want a happy ending is all.

Yay! Awesome news for the opening of the year. :)

In a way this is not really much of a news because all the 4 novels in First Season have already been animated or well in process of being animated, and it is hard to think of Shaft only releasing one -monogatari anime (Kizu) in the whole year of 2013. The only exciting thing is to see the PV for this second season, as well as the opening of a website for it.

So it was Shinbo saying this back in April (and he said 2 cours which can be anything from 24 to 26 episodes). Personally I think the six novels are best done in 3 cours (36-39 eps). 2 cours for 6 novels means 4-5 episodes per novel, and given Neko:Kuro is done in 4 episodes, it is conceivable that the plan, or at least the number of episodes going to be made, is still at around 24-26 episodes for the 6 novels.

Well, my hopes, excitement, joy and all these other feels, have just skyrocketed.

I'm just happy to know the amount of episodes those 6 volumes can fill. So all 12 Novels of "2nd Season" adds up to 52 episodes.

There are not 12 novels in the second season, just FYI.

I'm presuming that they'll animate the big one which is Nadeko Medusa and of course Hachikuji's main arc with the darkness but after that it's hard to tell how far they'll go due to the fact that NisiOisiN didn't write the novels in chronological order. We may very well not get the Kanbaru novel until an OVA comes out or something

Frankly, having read them, I really doubt they can do this in 12 episodes. There's just waaaaaaaay too much to cover. Shinobu's joint arc with Hachikuji alone is enough for 12 episodes really, not to mention the whole Hitagi & Nadeko problem is enough for another 12 on their own and god forbid we also get the kanbaru slapped in. It's another KnK mess with the chronology and I assume it will actually come out as a 24 or it'll just end up a sloppy adaptation.
