| The ambiguous nature of Chrona's gender has baffled many otaku for generations, but what is the clear cut answer to this world shattering debate?? Is Chrona a boy or a girl? What makes this hard to figure out are the numerous mixed signals that the character gives out. You tell me. On the side of ambiguity: -an omnisex childish voice -is not referred as either sex in the manga -in subs referred to as both he or she On the side that "he" is a boy: -refers to "himself" as "boku" -flusters when "he" was first in the presence of a girl -short hair -flat chest On the side that "she" is a girl: -she wears a dress -she gets flustered when her skirt is pulled up -she covers her chest -feminine hips -pink hair |

| As far as I can remember Chrona was mentioned to be different sex in the Anime and different in the Manga and was purposefully left unknown and Black*Star only knows what s/he is. |

| I've had this discussion with friends before, I've seen the anime and haven't read the manga but some of my friends have. From what I know; It's basically kept a mystery throughout both, but Crona is considered by most, a boy in the anime and a girl in the manga. |

| The Blu Ray subs says Crona is a he, plus he is pretty boyish despite wearing a dress and having child-bearing hips. I hear the manga leaves it completely ambiguous though. |
