This is amazing news. This way they'll be able to tell the story well and pan it out.

Finally! Hopefully we'll have more than one movie, he was 'scared' to see only one movie, the story is too long for that.
We must just wait until the DVD release...

Well, that's certainly better than just one film. I wonder how many they'll do....I'm definitely looking forward to it though. What I've played of the game was great.

At least I know the Persona 3 adaption will be given some justice with multiple films. Trying to cram a 60+ hour RPG into an hour and a half scream a bad idea.

I hope they won't mess it up like the Persona Trinity, but Persona 4 was the sh!t.

True. I was kinda scared that I thought they're doing a single Movie of P3.

I guess they will adapt the first events until the Dark Hour train event.

Hmm good news!

Just need to know which studio handle the movie & protag name if they use different name from manga.
Weird, they have announced which studio handle DeSu 2 adaptation but no news for P3 movie if it will be released in 2013.

Just realized there will be 2 SMT related adaptation next year WOW!
Though we will never see P3 movie until they released the BD/DVD lol.

Just think if it's a movie the animation will be amazing I know they won't screw this up. Persona 3 was a huge game in the franchise .....it was incredibly popular.

That's awesome for the fans, let them milk away until they decide to make Persona 5.
I hope they animate more Shin megami games especially the first persona

Yes! There's hope for this adaption yet, really looking forward to it.

I wouldn't say that, it's just that it is definitely impossible for them to adapt the entire game in one movie. This was a smart move to make it a series of movies.

Nope i actually he is directing this...............persona 3 had a lot of good moments. Seeing them animated will be awesome. Persona 4 Anime/Movie, Persona 3 Movies, Devil Survivor 2 Anime.............man SMT rocks. Let's cross our fingers for DS1, Nocturne or Strange Journey.........what will be the next one to be adapted?

If they make it like persona 4 I won't mind just as long as they keep true too the story and make it as awesome as the game is. Since P3 is one of the best story games there is :)

You have absolutely no idea what you have missed, long story short the top best games of the 2000 decade, not mentioning Shin Megami tensei Digital devil saga has been chosen as the game of the decade by a couple sites like rpgfan (and mnay fans), and every single soul agrees that persona 3 revolutioned the rpg genre.

Now this is just mah prediction or hopes, but maybe this is the formula they're planning;
Persona 3 the journey
persona 3 the answer
Persona 3 portable?
....
I could only dream XD

P3Portable is just an alternate retelling of the journey with a female MC and I am sure that they will not animate it

Good. This means it won't be BS'd and stick to the whole game without rushing..unlike some things.

Finally a release date! I heard rumors beforehand that it will be a trilogy. but this awesome news confirm that it will be more than 1 movie, hopefully each movie will be 2-3 hours in length to fit all the important parts in and do the game justice. All I want from this adaptation is:

1.Different studio and director from P4A. Hopefully White Fox, which already have a major following with so little anime series. Quality over quantity is best.

2.The OST should be remixed and not reused like in P4A. I want fitting remixes to the BABY BABY BABY BABY BABY BABY track and Burn My Dread track.

3.Personality of the MC and his voice are VERY important. Hopefully the studio that animates it will know what it's doing.

If all of the above is done right, then it will be worthwhile for sure. I can't wait to watch it already.

Watching this without watching P4's adaption (you could play the game if you own a PS2, it's much better) would be the best choice, since the latter was crap.

Agreed. PS4 anime was terrible. Im playing the golden versions for vita and it's just as awesome as the ps2 version but man the anime was terrible.

Cant wait for these movies, need to replay Ps3 after i beat this one for the 8 time.

This makes things slightly more hopeful. I don't know how the heck they could even think of covering a 70 hour game in only 100 minutes of film, but maybe a trilogy could work.
