THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE.

I caught up to this! Damn crazy mecha stuff!

This episode was good! The new Mecha Grand Maiden piloted by this guy Masaki is NUTS!
Huge like the ******** let's just say big!

Nice fanservice at the end of that girl Kizaki and Miu. I think Miu has bigger ones than Kizaki. O_O

I am sorry but I have to add this: HAHAHHAHHAAHAHHAHAHHAHAHHAHAH at the end of this episode with Hayase and Kizaki along with Miu taking their clothes. This is like the second time I am watching this RAW and I cannot get enough to stop me from LOL at that part.

I am adding this to better than Gundam! (No offense to fans).

I wouldn't say it is better than Gundam (in general) just yet, but Linebarrel was/is suppose to be a BIG mecha series with huge potential (just don't know why people hate it so much)

Nice introduction to many new characters this episode... and of course, great way to end the episode too (if only there wasn't those interruptions)

To much Ecchi in my opinion. And I can't agree with someone that rates almost all of his series with scores 9 or 10 XD.

They had better not used CGI for the mechs. It doesn't look great =X

what's wrong with CGI? it is a nice change;)

besides, a few of the upcoming 2009 anime will be fully CG animated (Appleseed, Resident Evil, just to name some)

The ending was funny, and as comparing this to Gundam, I like gundam more. But in terms of rating them as mecha's I consider mechas to be more monsterous like machines. As with gundams they're like huge robots.

hmm.. gundam got a big name in the market huh.. so big that mecha animes are being compared to gundam.. but i guess it cant be helped. i got no problem if they use CGI in the series.. i think its a way to distinguish themselves in other mecha animes (if you compare them to gundam).. by d way, the episode got a nice start.. for ecchi fans XD.

Episode 08 was really good........but this NEVER happened in the manga and it was just an excuse to show us GONZO's super-ability to make everything they touch into ecchi-ness. :P Also, it was an excuse to give the unnecessary anime-only character, Kujou, to show some cleavage, her vulnerability and generally give her some screen-time........

However, they did "remix" scenes of the manga in this episode with the introduction of Jack Smith and Masaki Sugawara's Machina and the US event. The US event was completely different
;)

GONZO has thoroughly centrifuged the manga plot and then flushed it down the toilet and then proceeded to collect it at the sewage drains. Then have tried to make a half-assed attempt to put it back into its original form. Unfortunately, they've failed because the script has become contaminated during its sewage trip and has collected pieces of sh*t along the way such as Kujou, Painkiller, Emi's abnormal personality and many other things. <_<

Dude, I agreed with 100% BUT I don't think the whole thing was that bad!
I think the ecchi stuff is good cause it's better than the ones in the manga but I still think the story changing ain't half bad. Me I did not find it bothersome.

At least I know that Miu has them bigger than Kizaki! :P

"Thats no ARMA... That's a space station!"
Did all the various captains of KATO-KIKAN remind anyone of the captains from Bleach? They just kept coming.

Well, I think I've finally figured out why good-guys and bad guys are able to make speeches mid-fight: Cutscenes.

OK, and what the fuck was with the ending? I thought it had gone all Chäos;HEAd, what with the eroting delusions and such. Seriously, why am I still watching this?

you can't compare gundam to this. one is a tradition/culture belonging to the japanese and one is a show that will be consisted of 24 episodes. so i don't know what you are talking about.

great episode too. man suits while piloting is freaking cool. SUIT UP!

Perhaps that is true but I still prefer the fresher taste of this anime compared to Gundam. Although Gundam has good variations it is not as different as this anime might be.

Fanservice was out of hand and not funny. However, Domyouji and the other guy leaving Hayase in the locker with the revolving door was pretty hilarious. Hayase is still much to bitchy of a character for me to get behind. He needs to die.
