Girls und Panzer 12k! Probably could have been higher if it didn't run out of stock. Lower than Stalker estimate though. Anyways, season winner (probably, wait for second week)~

Chuunibyou 12k =]
Higher than Stalker estimate if I remember correctly. Good to see it doing well.

Sakurasou, Robotics;Notes goes on sale at the end of January. Look forward to those sales until than.

Edit: Sorry I stole 2nd floor

KuroBas dominating as usual. Girls und Panzer doing really well. And Chu2koi exceeded expectations!

I'm sad that Psycho Pass BD didn't make it to the list. But it's currently out of stock on amazon and will only be re-stocked on the 27th of this month. And we'll probably see in on the Thursday list.

And what the heck Hanayaka? I thought you'd sell better than that!

...yes, it didn't rank.
Sigh, that's three shows I watched this season which aren't doing well.
All that's left is Zetsuen, Sakurasou, Kamisama and Magi. Hopefully Magi sells well.
Then again it got a horrible adaptation....
Still, this week I'm really sad about PP. :/

Only one comment is suitable for Girls und Panzer result

and I look forward on how it will develop - it's always interesting to see how they underestimate sales numbers and understock it (well it's better than make to much of those)

And Chu is also nice to see - it was disapointing in the end but entertaining series.

Next week (v1 autumn series)
- Little busters
- Hidamari sketch
- OniAi
- Busou shiki
- Kamisama Hajimemashita
- Sukitte ii na yo.

Is that all for the 1st volume? And what's coming out from summer?

The song itself is good, but I don't like the idea of idol groups monopolizing the chart and anime.

Zetsuen ED will have new ED beginning January, but I'm afraid that it's another mood breaker (not suitable for the anime) song. I'm sure Magi will have new ED, too, beginning January (Edit: I saw that supercell is singing new ED of Magi).

It's possible, as DVD thresholds are quite a bit lower than I expected this week. BD is brutal though.

Stalker had DVD at 900, which should be more accurate than the BDs since there's no sign of the DVDs being understocked. There's some chance the full list this weekend could go that low. 900 DVDs would leave them virtually tied.

But with less than 1k dvd, it will not even appear in dvd ranking, or will it?

Ugh. Kamisama Hajimemashita comes out that week. D: I'm almost sure that the DVD will rank but the BD....
lets' see next week we have:
Sword Art Online
Accel World
Aquarian Evol
Kokoro Connect
Campione
Hyouka

Did I miss out any others which will rank?
ugh....Kamisama 1 BD is only at 1700 BDs. I wonder if it will rank?

Nice sales for Chu2koi, GaruPan and To Love-Ru D!

On GaruPan... 13,550 BDs is pretty damn good I think considering it has been completely out of stock since mid December on Amazon JP (will get restocked in February 2013 I heard) and it was also sold out in Akihabara.

Well it has been restocked in Akihabara recently (23rd or 24th was it?), so I suspect the Amazon JP demand is going to shift to the store fronts... we shouldn't see the final Oricon sales number for GaruPan for possibly a few weeks/months from now.

It's severely understocked, so odds are it will go a good bit higher than this. It's been crushing everything else on Amazon Japan for about two months now.

And it's my #3 show of the season, so I'm happy. There's a lot more to it than one would think just from the title and a promo image or two. It takes its material very seriously and that's resonated with a lot of people.

So there is more to it after all? I've only watched the first episode and Commie's random usage of German words didn't really support my enjoyment of the show. If in fact there's a good plot, I might have to give it another try.

No subs is best in my opinion but I'm weird it seems.

The opening battle sequence on Blu ray is just gorgeous, the panning going from tank movement to turret rotation and back is masterful. The tanks are so well done. 2.1 audio, military songs. I find there is a ton to enjoy.

I wouldn't blame you if you said that considering the fact that the excitement happened episodes later. In case of anime originals, a hit is unpredictable. Even with a powerful cast and staff / studio/ producer backing it up.

I think I was more interested in the fact that 3 shows by the same company across 3 different decades all managed to sell in the 10,000-20,000 category than anything else. I don't know how Sunrise does it sometimes, but they often seem to have about half of these sales top 10 charts dedicated to their stuff even when it's re-releases. Talk about some enduring properties. Cowboy Bebop in particular is pretty surprising considering it's what 15 years old now.

Sounds like the producers of Girls Und Panzer didn't expect it to be quite so popular. Frankly I didn't either, but then on some level I'm also kind of not surprised. As for all the shows I actually find interesting this season, none charted but then again what else is new. Such is the way the market is for these things, it really doesn't favor anything that doesn't have bishoujo/bishounen characters as a prominent feature.

Also not surprised to hear that that Magi song that literally everybody I've talked to in the English speaking community hates and finds totally unfitting for the show would be a killer in Japan. It's almost impossible to describe how big the gap between mainstream American anime fan and Japanese otaku appears to be these days. They're literally almost polar opposites in terms of what they want out of anime and anime related entertainment. Far cry from the 80's and 90's that's for sure. Honestly if the idea of anime had never gotten popular over here in the mid 90's I'd go so far as to suggest it would have been too late now and it never would be able to catch on with what's being put out.....not that it really exists as a market over here anymore now anyway. *shrug*

There are other subbers than commie who are doing this, commie just is the fastest (though they do skip on quality). As for plot, its a fairly generic plot truth be told, but it does it so damn well and the tank battles are extremely well done. If you are one of those people who think that animation has to be serious, then no, it isn't for you, however for just sheer refreshing enjoyment this was the one show that I looked forward to the most on a weekly basis.

I'm really happy that Chuu2Byo sold much better than Hyouka. There's some justice in this world. Hope, it won't drop much.
