Wow. Thought Funi would get this, but CR did.

The top anime of the season and CR got it, what a rebound. Now get Senran Kagura please so we can get the exposure that series needs.

Jan 13, 7 am PST

That simulcast covers the U.S., Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, and South Africa.

Latecast, meh. I'm sure subs will be out the day of airing, and I'm not sure I can keep myself from watching it for 3 days just to watch on Crunchy.

I only watch on weekends anyway, so as long as a show is not delayed beyond the weekend, I'm good. I don't have time to watch anime on Thursdays anyway. The only time it really sucks for me is when CR's stream is pushed back to Monday or later, because when I end up effectively a week behind since I won't get to it until the following Saturday or so.

Looks like I might be going with ViviPan for my weekend-ender this season! I usually prefer something a bit more subdued (it was Hidamari Sketch in Fall, Hyouka before that) as the last thing I watch before another week of work starts, but I think I can happily adjust.

Crunchy has Dog Days 3

Figurative and literally

It does have that Dog Days feel though, definite good news.

Last announcement from CR today. I think this wraps up thier Winter Season simulcasts.

Edit: Wish Funi would start thier Winter Season simulcast announcements.

Two boxes left, but they might not be anime, so perhaps.

I was kinda hoping for GJ-bu but if the replacement is Vivipan, I'm more than okay with that exchange.

Crunchyroll gonna simulcast Cardfight!! Vanguard Link Joker (Season 3), it's listed in the lineup as Continuing Simulcast. They don't make any news about it though.

I guess the territories and the simulcast time is most likely the same as previous seasons.
Territories: USA, Canada, UK, and Ireland.
Streaming Dates: Saturdays at 6:30pm PST starting January 12.

Edit:
The Anime Network got Sasami-san@Ganbaranai. I'm don't know why the link saying Tamako Market though.
http://www.theanimenetwork.com/20130107565/tamako-market-this-thursday-to-anime-network-online

Fridays at 10:30am CST starting January 18. I guess it's 9 days late simulcast, CMIIW.

AKB0048 Next Stage? That's rather unexpected. Not something I'll be watching though. Still hoping for GJ-bu even if it'd be late at this point (it just aired).

"AKB0048: next stage will be available to the following territories: U.S., Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Finland, Denmark, Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, South and Central America."

If Crunchyroll gets Puchimas, Crunchyroll will be completely be in Idoltown this winter. I am hoping that they also will stream the first season so I can watch the whole thing.

Impossible, nothing in the true Idolm@ster series have been licensed yet. If it's a short they'll be getting the mostly unknown Haitai Nanafa, remember it only aired in Okinawa in the Fall and only got a mainland Japanese airing once AT-X picked it up, hopefully they keep to the 2 eps per week model AT-X is doing.

Well damn, they can get it then, maybe I was probably thinking of home release, never heard of it being released on DVD, but Sentai would have the rights to do so if they could.

No idea if it's been licensed, as I don't follow the foreign industry but... ::checks:: doesn't look like it. Though Xenoglossia was licensed, heh.

I'm guessing if they licensed Puchimas, it would be next season. It's probably Nico exclusive right now.

Thats cool that they got AKB0048 Next Stage, but its kinda pointless to newcomers since its a direct continuation of the first season (its even considered Episode 14 by the official website), so I wouldn't recommend it to anyone with Crunchy unless they see the first season too which isn't licensed.

Talking about surprise announcements

http://www.crunchyroll.com/anime-news/2013/01/09/crunchyroll-to-stream-little-busters-anime

"The site will stream the series, starting with episode 14, on January 12 at 9:00 p.m. EST. The first 13 episode will be available on the site at a later date."

So.. its just going to start in the middle of the series? Totally neglecting everything that had happened until "a later date"?

I think they know full well that anyone who cares about being current ASAP is watching the fansubs, and anyone who doesn't, also doesn't care about waiting a little longer for a show they haven't started yet. Especially if they're a "legal stream only" kind of person.

But uh, yeah weird.

Wow talk about unexpected.

Hope they are a bit faster with the earlier episodes than they were with dog days season 1, although this time I've already seen most of the episodes. The question is should I watch episodes 10-13 on fansub or wait for CR to bring them out?

If I were in your position I'd go with the fansubs through 13 then switch. Unless you're not in much of a rush to watch it. If we had some idea of when they plan to do the first half it'd be easier to judge whether waiting is worth it, but we're really in the dark until they say more. Dog Days doesn't set the most promising precedent, but maybe they'll be faster about an ongoing show.

I think my plan right now is to make sure CR is translating the way they usually do, and if so, I'll switch to them since I've already seen the first 13. It's just ever so slightly more convenient to use them.

Figures they'd do something like this for a show I don't necessarily "need" it for though, even if I'll still likely switch to them. I just wish they'd "rescue" a show I dropped or skipped entirely because of slow of substandard fansubbing options.

It saves about an hour, at least. Normally the fansubs come out about 10 PM EST and this'll be 9 PM EST.

I'm in Shock, Im@s now has a clusterfuck of US licenses, Funi has the spinoff to the true Idolmaster, CR has the actual main series, and Sentai has Xenoglossia.

Guess I'll go with CR for it now, since it doesn't appear to be delayed at all and I won't be watching until Saturday or Sunday each week anyway.
