DAMN YOU KYOANI!!! Making me cry and laugh at the same time Dx

This episode was just so damn heartwarming, PERFECT ending for the series!
(except they didnt kiss)

god, KUMIN FTW!!!! hell, even nibutani with her speech to yuuta was awesome, setting him straight to stop being a douchebag and doing the right thing

and finally, yuuta brings rikka to the ethereal horizon to say her final goodbye to her dad... had me shedding tears T-T

AMAZING SERIES!!!

I loved this episode so much. Pretty much everything came out as it should of and i was just... GAH! Dekomori without her pigtails? SO CUTE! The hug between Yuuta and Rikka in the end? SO CUTE! (the amazingness of the hug and their interaction afterwards make it ok to me that Rikka and Yuuta didnt kiss) Rikka accepting her fathers death and finally being able to come to terms with it and saying good bye? SO EMOTIONAL!

This anime has seriously made me happier than any other anime in such a long time. It was nonstop smiles for me watching this anime and to me, it has the perfect charm in comedy, romance, and drama.

I gotta give this whole anime a 10/10

This is probably KyoAni's worst series and the ending was... not very good at all.

Chu2Koi never handled its drama well.

5/10 or 6/10. Can't decide.

Dark Flame Master + Rikka turning chuunibyou + Sanae's hair down + Chuunibyou Kumin + Molester Isshiki + Shinka = Perfect ending for the series.

I wonder what will happen in the OVA... Season 2 should be less likely, but with an upcoming OVA, I can't say anymore.

10 goddamn episodes building up that Rikka's chuunibyou is unhealthy. 1 goddamn episode showing that going too far the other way isn't healthy either.

And then this.

What the hell, KyoAni? You just ruined a whole seasons's worth of thematic build-up by resolving it like this. Also what the hell was with those deus ex machina out of the woodwork? Why would you validate the unhealthy behaviour in this way?

...goddamnit, and I was so looking forwards to a clever emotional resolution where the characters finally moved past their childhood, while realizing that they could still carry it with them without also having to act out...

...oh well, at least the first 11 episodes were pretty good...

Decent ending, mediocre series overall. 6/10

I liked the serious plot but the comedy antics was a waste of my time. Would have gotten at least a 8/10 if the characters were stronger and it stuck to that serious plot. Brill animation nevertheless.

This was the only episode where I liked Dekomori. lol.

Dekomori looked freakin' gorgeous. It's too bad that the last few episodes were so weird. The first half was so funny and well-written that I thought this would be my favorite anime. Now I don't think I'll even buy it, unfortunately.

I guessing kissing was a bit too lewd for KyoAni to add ;_;
but still good ending.

Althought it could've been better since they built developments for other characters yet just abandoned them

Honestly, it just came off as underwhelming. I think the direction they took it in was a mistake because they couldn't pull it off right, but it was an okay series overall.

6/10.

the ending was to be expected, you can see that will happen a mile away.

best part of this episode was the conversation of whats normal

"thats deep"

"no your just shallow"

in the end, they chose what makes them happy the most.

the very last scene, i thought they were going to show yuuta and rikka in an older age (maybe 20 yrs+ or so) with their kid who has the same wild imagination.
dont know why my thought process went that way when i saw that scene

this was so saddening yet so good, i loved the part where yuuta acted like the dark flame master and showed rikka the ethereal horizon and rikka was able to express her suppressed emotions :')
9/10 ending would be 10/10 with a kiss but oh well
still one of the best anime this year

I could really use more of an epilogue. I don't believe for a moment that after all that drama they're just going to go back to their normal chuu2byou ways, nor that their club will be reformed. Some sort of character follow-up is necessary.

I'm a little surprised so many people are upset that there was no kiss. I don't understand why a kiss matters at all. This story is rich in character and a kiss is such a superficial thing. Is that really all it takes to make you people happy? (Wait, am I really upset that there are hordes of shallow people on mal? x:)

One of the best new anime I've seen in a long time. Perfect blend of humor, drama, romance; hell, even some action here and there! Well, imaginary action......but still! This story really teaches you to be true to yourself and I really respect that. There's a little Chuunibyou in all of us anime and manga fans! Amazing show, I loved it, I'll never forget it, and I'm more than glad I tuned in every week; I'm grateful. 9/10

I also came into here wanting a kiss too but the ending felt extremely complete to me and I'm not even mad. I was a lot more happy with the bicycle scene. That was just so beautiful and heartwarming I don't think a kiss scene would have fit.

I really like the ending and Dark Flame Master letter he wrote when Yuuta had Chuunibyou, Rikka have always been stalking him and she know a lot of his chunnibyou.
The imagination at the beach was pretty nice with the light and everything.

Even thought there is no kiss scene it's want to give me a high rated, there still a chance for a 2nd season.

Ah that's remind me of Hyouka anime as well.

Nice ending, nice series, nice all around. Not great, but nice a good way to pass 23 minutes every week.

The character I enjoyed the most episode in and out was Mori Summer. Her progress through the show as the popular cheerleader to the ironic philosopher at the end was always a treat.

A show told from her point of view could be fairly interesting, the high school kid who is figuring out stuff faster than her peers, and because of that can end up being a bit of a sage. The ending with her response to Yuuta's "that's so deep" was classic. I also particularly liked her reunion with her middle school classmates as well as when she gave up around episode five as was cursing people again.

Anyway, the new show looks like it could be fun, so until after the winter break.

Too many plot conveniences ruined episode 12 for me. 2/5 this week, 6/10 overall.

Top rate comedy ruined by poorly executed drama.

What makes you so certain of that?

As far as I understand the ending, Rikka's back to "normal", the couple reunited, everything fine. I don't see what a second season would be about plotwise.

Don't get me wrong, I'd love to see a second season. But it's very unlikely in my opinion.

Who cares if people complain about the Kiss. IMO it would make the show better Overall to show even better improvement of the characters + it would be cute nohomo. KyoAni always does the No Kiss thing and it's getting dull, but they still make it good w/o it. I just want a Kiss scene :<.

Decent ending to Chuunibyou. I flipped out when I saw Dekomori with her long hair down and calling Yuuta 'senpai'. God damn Dekomori ftw! Dat Nibutani X Yuuta moment, really wish there was more development in their relationship. Kumin acting like Rikka was pretty weird.

Police chasing Rikka and Yuuta when they're on a bike, lolsrsly? Also, it kinda sucks that there was no kiss scene but not really a big deal. Really enjoyed this series, especially with the chuunibyou quirkiness and those fight scenes. Gonna miss not having weekly Rikka now. Good job to KyoAni!
Overall giving Chuunibyou an 8/10.

Had no idea what was happening in the first 5 minutes with the chuuni switch. I was surprised for the reason Rikka went chuunibyou. It seemed kind of sudden. Was this foreshadowed in previous episodes?

But I liked it, and how it ended. I realized that I also still have this "self-consciousness." After the 2nd episode I was expecting more chuuni action, but the romantic drama twist in the last half of the show was different and good. 9/10
