I am loving this show, but at the same time it kind of annoys me. So far its only really been hinting at the plot behind everything, it's like it can't decide if it wants to be serious or lighthearted. The shows almost half way over and they still really haven't delved into the seriousness D: I expected it to be like Steins;Gate and take a while, but this is taking even longer.

If you really want to fit in, just put Legend of the Galactic Heroes in your top 5 and have it be the only 10-rated anime in your list.

That monopole sure was interesting. I'm sure it'll be a key item later in the anime. Aki was so cute when she was hiding in the shrubs and eavesdropping on Kai and Subaru's conversation. Then she acted so obediently like a dog LOL. xD

I love how Frau seems like such an awkward character but that's what makes her awesome. xD Hilarious to see Frau and Kai looking at Aki with cat ears via Kai's PokeCom. :DD
Initiate GunPro-2 mode. ;)

Good episode, glad to see they're moving on to something new after the failure of GunPro 1. And seeing Aki spirited as ever just makes the show really good hearted, but I think it will get darker sooner or later though.

Frau in this episode was fun, can't wait to see more of her to be honest. MOE~

This anime always makes me wonder if it's really worth it watching. Two main stories, one of the destruction of the Sun, other of the building of a giant robot, whenever the first one appears, the anime feels like Steins; Gate with the sci-fi mistery, but most of the time it's not really interesting as constructing a robot doesn't go well with the flow of the mistery.

Are they gonna save the Earth with weird stuff like the newly appeared monopole and the robot or is the prophecy false, or will it be an open end, I hope it's the first and the second half of the anime becomes mostly mindfuck like S;G.

next episode would definitely explain the monopoles, i guess the first half of these anime would be all mysteries, and then in the 2nd half would be all revelations, i have really great expectations in this anime, hope this ends as a masterpiece

I guess they'll grab the energy from the Monopole, but what kind of sorcery is that thing. Energy needs to be grabbed from somewhere, it can't just magically have infinite energy or something stupid like that.
So far this hasn't been as good as expected, I can only hope that the serious part(s) will start soon.

definitely a nice compromise aki made there, no one ever said she HAD to completely drop the GunPro-1 :D

id love to see the club make their fully functioning GunPro-1 after the expo, and im guessing it's most likely going to involve that monopole to power it up. sweet!

but that ending was rather... ominous. i wonder what the oppai shopkeeper has against airi??

That monopole... mmm... really suspicious.
And Aki finally decided to build GunPro2, yeah, great decision, I think.
Of, course, Frau is the best character so far.

Okay so now they have a fancy engine for their GunPro2, but this robot building business while interesting is clashing badly with the main plot...whatever that was.

Somehow I reckon they'll pull it all together...somehow.

just like in Steins;Gate, almost all of the characters will have somekind of plot twist around them.

I hope this episode will be the start of when the story/pacing pick up, monopole will definitely be used somehow

I started thinking about something considering Akiho + Kaito: the syndrome causes them to preseive time differently. What if the incident caused them to exchange something during the blast, because they were holding hands in the backflashes that were shown? Maybe Akiho's brains speed got transferred to Kaito or the emptyness between Kaito's thoughts got transferred to Akiho? Which will cause the whole Elephant Syndome, because during the attacks, they're activated, whereas normal humans have equal speeds in both cases, thus nullifying the syndrome?

Frau and Jun make a nice pair... *puts on yuri-goggles* Girls are meant to be with Girls after all.

About the monopole, I think they'll definitely use it as powersource later on, but for now, it's staying put. I mean, you don't just jam the thing into a battery slot, it needs some kind of interface. And they can't just ask anybody for help, as soon as it's known they found a monopole, earnest looking government officials will come by and say "We'll be taking that, thank you."

They're probably going to use the monopole in either the gunpro 1 or the gunpro 2.

GunPro-01 was already near its completion when Misaki decided to drop the project. The only things the current robotics club needed was auxiliary parts but even then it was not enough for a full functioning giant robot.

Well.. 10 eps in and we are at the beginning again, building another robot now. This show has such slow tempo it gets really boring now.
Well, if this is slice of life and not science adventure I would be ok with it but I have to say I was expecting better from this show.

Are we even watching the same show?
It's kind of slow but that's typical of the serie. Steins;gate was and don't even get me started with Chaos;head.
I'd say R;N move even faster than S;G did.

Lot of new elements were introduced lately:
- The monopole
- The reports
- Sister centipede
- Shop's manager's relation to all this mess
- Seem like earth is going toward destruction and that is deeply linked with the MC's ability to fasten his reaction speed.
- Mention of the 'organisation'.

Where was S;G at ep 10? They made some gel banana in a microwave, sent a few text to the past and other than that nothing really happened. Just like it did for S;G and C;H you don't have to worry, shit will hit the fan in due time.

Took Steins;Gate a good 12-13 episodes to really get going in earnest, and when it did, it fucking DID.

The difference betwen S;G and R;N is that S;G was interesting, had a good cast of characters and interesting twists, very thrilling. R;N doesn't have any of that. It's a borefest.

The first half of S;G was boring as hell (for me and for a lot of people), it took me a lot of effort to reach the 12th episode. R;N till now has a more fun first half imo, with all the interesting build-up about the sun and what KuroNoKenshi said. The 2nd half of S;G was more interesting yes, but it's unfair to compare it to R;N yet because even the 1st half of R;N didn't end yet.

^^^ agreed
I put S;G on hold because I wasn't really into it during the 1st half
I like R;N 1st half more the S;G 1st half too
