We've made a number of changes to our authentication code. This benefits us by having increased security. Unfortunately, it's also causing some unintentional session and cookie issues.

We're aware of a number of the issues, but please post here concerning any login/cookie/logout issues you run in to. It helps if we know what country you're from too (we're aware of some lingering issues with Singapore.)

We plan to rollback the forum this coming Monday. A number of delays have stopped us from running it earlier. Sorry for the inconvenience and the posts we'll lose in between now and Monday.

Nice job stepping up the security.

But goddamn, I'm going to miss some wonderful posts when the rollback happens.

Seconded on both accounts, though I haven't really posted anything that I'll miss.
I'll just be glad to get all the threads back.

Will this bring back the lost threads in the shows and clubs? If it will, then losing posts from now until Monday is okay with me. Those can be easily made again unlike those posts that were made weeks ago and had some good content in it.
What specific time and timezone will this happen?

There's still an issue though with the "Find All" thing in my profile for all my forum posts. Nothing shows up when I click it. Was this affected by the hacking and the security issue fix? Just pointing it out here...

Thanks for all the hard work Xinil!

Just export your lists if you're worried. It's not difficult.

I pretty much can't access this site at all using Chrome. I can look at the list of clubs I'm in and visit club pages, but every other thing on the site takes me to the main page and shows me as logged out. If I go back into a club page, I'm shown as logged in again. Tried logging myself out and back in, deleting history/cookies, same problem. Located in the US btw. No problems accessing the site in Firefox.

I'm having problems with my cookies too. I have to sign in every session. This is the same with both browsers I use, Opera on my desktop and Internet Explorer on my Windows Phone. I'm in the United Kingdom.

I'm getting the log out message already 3 days in a row.
Seems, my password is being reseted since I change it and every next days it's back to the old one but today nor my new nor my old passawords where working and I had to request a password change.
I'm from Brazil.

For the last couple of days, whenever I start my browser and open this site, it tells me that there is a problem with the cookies so I should clear them and login again. I live in Bosnia and Herzegovina. And I have not changed my password for ages.
And slowly, you come to realize... It's all as it should be...

Whenever I reconnect to the Internet (I'm on a dial-up) and open MAL it displays the 'Clear your cookies' error. Perhaps it won't recognize the cookie if my IP is changed?

I'm from Romania.

EDIT; Oh, and yeah, the 'Keep me logged in' option doesn't let you log in at all, at least in FF.

I couldn't login with Firefox today, it said there was a problem keeping me logged in and I should delete my cookies and restart my browser. I did, but I could not login with Firefox. Chrome worked.
I'm from Germany.

There's literally a button right on the list at the top. Just go to your anime list and it should be up there. Assuming you were genuinely asking. I can't tell these days.

Same country but I only cleared my cookies and I was able to log in just fine. Works for both FF and Chrome.
You should be fine.

Cookie logout: One time on Thursday, three times on Friday
Where: Brazil, with Firefox and Opena (I only use these)
Note: MAL sometimes is geting too slow, YouTube and others looks normal here.

It "never" worked, okay? (I'm talking about post finder not thread finder)

It was working when they returned the search function again a few months back. But the "Find posts by user" function stopped working a few weeks back while the "find threads started by user" and the keywords search are still working. That's why I'm asking if it was somehow affected by the recent attacks and the security change.

I'm from the UK and I am having cookie troubles. I can log in fine, but it doesn't keep my session if I ask for MAL to log me in automatically.

By the way, how is this going to affect this week's FAL results?

Log out, uncheck that, and you're fine.

Export: http://myanimelist.net/panel.php?go=export
Import: http://myanimelist.net/import.php (it's found under the Add Anime item from the Anime menu - make sure you follow the instructions there - the import is for manga also)

I'm a little confused.

By "now and Monday" means everything will be restored the way it was with forums around Wednesday morning? In other words, it's the forum posts/threads that will be lost between the upcoming Monday and last Wednesday? because that's when it started.
