| Good episode, I kinda buy the bizarre friendship thing, the south american setting sounds interesting if that's where they're going. As for this arc overall, it was OK, the dialogue is possibly the lamest, most cheesy one yet, and just like magi, this feels rushed as f*** so most scenes feel like meh I'd give the first arc a 6/10 |

| The style of Phantom Blood is a bit too old for me, it's adapted from a 1987 series, after all, but ep. 9 is so touching... 7/10 for part 1. |

| Boooo why'd they have to kill hm off like that. After all he went through to beat a fully powered Dio he got beat by Dio's severed head?!?! Lame. Plus I bet Dio's still alive somehow. Dio shouldn't be so freaking hard to kill! What happend to the days where decapitation was a sure fire kill? He sholdn't have survived Jojo nearly cutting him completely in half. Shouldn't that count as destroying the brain? I wish the author let Jojo live, but they could have at least given him a better death. |

| Well, that was one hell of an honeymoon :P JOJOOOOOOOO!!!! :( But let's not worry, he will come back, in an even more epic way because his seiyu will be one of the best evar : Tomokazu Sugita!! (Gintoki :3 ) This show really like to make the character describe each scene in the most detailed way possible xD R.I.P. Jonathan, I'm sure your legacy will find its way. Dio is dead (again). Or is he? On the screen they said that Jonathan was dead, but they never mentionned Dio being dead. Maybe he survived somehow by hiding underwater during the day and travelling during the night? :P By the way, using his hair to escape an attack was hilarious. |

| those last scenes with Jonathan and Erina were very touching. RIP Jonathan Dio is obviously not dead though. cool that we get to see the next Joestar in the next episode. |
| Whaaaat?! Did Joestar just really die?! What is even going on? Wasn't he the main character? This is crazy! This was a good episode, too. Some good character moments, for sure... Even though, I suppose there's a lot of suspension of disbelief that has to be applied to really enjoy this series. I guess it's best not to think too deeply about all of the impossible, illogical bullshit that happens, and just enjoy the series for it's craziness. |

| Finally finished up to here~ That was a good way of ending this long-ass arc LOL I did not like it that much tbh but this episode was great. Hopefully part 2 is better |
| I can't believe that I didn't start this series sooner. It is just so god damn GAR. Epic conclusion to this arc. And still with what little screen time Erina gets, she always seems to shine. RIP Jonathan Joestar. You are a gentleman and a scholar. A Bro King for sure. |

| There's some good stuff in the show, but overall it's poorly written. Yeah yeah, I get it it's supposed to be that way. And it is pretty funny at times because of it. But when it comes down to it these first 9 episodes were just Defeat Dio, Dio comes back, repeat. It's a lazily written story. But the thing I love about it is the shifting colours they did a great job with that. first arc 6.5/10 |
