Now now dear child countering prejudice with more prejudice only makes you seem as bad as the first offender made you out to be. Also it would be most wise to name characters according to their official names, not whatever a fansub says. Your simple world can be a fantastic place, you just have to know where to look. |

Oops! I appear to be incapable of following Rules 16 and 17, so I had to have a mod change my sig for me. |

As great as it was in first 5 episodes, it started to bore me lately. I really want some plot progress. In my opinion, 5 episodes showing pain in a world, 5 episodes showing what Casshern did are enough, now it's time for developing story, characters (other than Casshern), maybe some love interest(although I can't see which, because there is only hatred so far), anything at all. Waiting for ep8....and trying to figure wtf was this one about. |

really beautiful episode - I love the world and all the characters this show has shown us so far. If the quality of these eps keep up - I wouldnt even mind if they were all stand-alone eps (like Mushishi for example). It was really well excecuted - 5/5. ~five exclamation marks is the sure sign of an insane mind~ |

I think this episode really helped to engage the audience into this lonely world... it was a calming, sad episode, and it made me like this anime even more... upped to a 9/10, I really think this is looking strong |

Fantastic contemplative and atmospheric episode, it almost felt like an experimental short ! So now, Casshern Sins is turning into a kind of Galaxy Express 999 (not that it wasn't already close to it, but it's getting clearer now) in a desolated Earth where only mortal robots exist. I don't dislike the slow pacing and what catches my attention most is the atmosphere of this show, so I can't say that I'm not pleased. Great episode for me, melancholic, extraordinarily well-written and perfectly directed ! |

Still like Sophita the best (she was like poetry in motion, if you'll excuse the use of a corny cliche). This girl was an interesting character as well. She really highlights the nature of this world of ruin that they are in, where every individual seems to be coming up with their own way of coping with it. She does it by building the bell that she hopes will allow others to see what beauty is left in the world. The poker playing robots have obviously chosen to give up and try not to think about it. |

well, it's indeed a mixture of Ginga Tetsudou 999 and Kino no Tabi, with a more depressing tone.... I wonder if any plot is going to happen or it will just follow this episodic trend.... |

Rofl at whoever said this needs plot development , difference between this and Casshern : robot hunter and Casshern Neo-hum The plot development resides within the character development/growth im happy seeing ho casshern is growing with every episode its like exploring the moral conflict within himself while still providing a comfertable character atmosphere . =] ![]() |

people should have better appreciation anout the complexity of the series. human growth is a beautiful thing to me. if it's not, then something is wrong with you. this series isn't much about the pure evil but the interaction and the feelings of every single character in the series. i found out that majority of the characters have developed some kind of a characteristic that makes them unique. that's what i saw so far. who knows where everything will lead to? |

Yes Human growth is quite intriguing to watch, but really now its not all that complex in the case of this story. Currently this Casshern's case child falls into the old the Joseph Cambell Monomythology circle, you may have heard of it, its commonly used when putting together a story, namely screenplays. In other words the plot is predictable and formulaic, not a tad bit complex. Your simple world can be a fantastic place, you just have to know where to look. |

vindemon64 said: This was probably the weakest episode thus far in this show. I felt the point they were trying to make could have been done rather quickly (making Casshern believe that the Ruined World could still be beautiful). Either way, series as a whole so far, is pretty good. Definitely different from your typical anime that we see nowadays (and people seem to be complaining about that, which really confuses me). Looking forward to the next episode and hopefully they'll return to the other evil Casshern characters soon. QFT! ...still missing Sophita ;) |
