What is this one about? - I've tried searching on Google and no luck.
Kinda reminded of the Mai Otome Specials where they were fighting over who would be the next lead Character... who the hell is Mao?

I hear it's a lot more like Mai Hime than Mai Otome, which means I will enjoy it. <3
I don't think I've ever looked forward to an anime this early in advance, before.

Those two girls look like Mai and Mikoto though.

They look similar, but that screams fan art to me (probably isn't but...)

What I really want is more Mai-HiME.

Additional note for interested parties: Static Subs has already added Mao-Hime to their confirmed projects listing. You can also read more about them and their dedication to the Mai Hime franchise in their fan club or on their site, of course.

I think this is the closest we can get to more Mai-Hime, so I'm excited/hoping for such a case.

Although the name ruins the whole "Mai metaseries" thing, but as long as it turns out to be good, I'll accept the new name.

Hmm, and I'm unsure whether that image is fanart or not, because that picture (and other sketches of the same art style) are listed at the bottom of the official site.
But there is also pictures and sketches of the original art style.
Too bad I can't read what the official site even says xD

So where exactly does it say 'TV series'? The official site only advertises the new comic series '舞-HiME狂走曲 猫姫@日記', which has Maou/Mao as a protagonist.

I never watched Otome - I decided to read the manga instead, since that's in line with the Mai-HiME continuity.

then it should be "hime metaseries" since it has hie in the title. then"otome metaseries"if they're gonna make a mao-otome.
