It's your personal opinion.

That's exactly what starting a sentence with "personally" means, doesn't it?

And really, anyone who cites lack of plot as a problem with Dog Days doesn't quite get why it's popular with its fans. Plot is utterly irrelevant.

Ii don't say that the lack of plot is the problem. It doesn't need serious plot and especially drama. But watching all the same thing with just a minor changes for the third time would be boring.

FUCK...I know Dog Days is popular and all, hell I even like it myself. But come on Seven Arc, give us fans the sekirei season 3 we've been waiting for.....Try to get some deals with somebody to make that shit happen.

I would gladly watch new DD episode every week for whole next year and wouldn't appreciate any bigger plot change. They tried it once in S1 and failed. Thankfully they got it right in S2 with Demon King and I hope further developments (if any) will be alike.

It's a difference in mindset about what constitutes the "same thing", I think.

For me, it's not the same thing unless I'm literally rewatching the episodes from season two. We'll have new characters, new powers, new match-ups in the fights, new character dynamics as characters interact under different circumstances and with different partners. That's different, to me.

Put it another way: I watch Dog Days for many of the same reasons I watch Hidamari Sketch. One just happens to have big battles and the other doesn't.

Tell Square Enix, not Seven Arcs. I imagine Seven Arcs has far more to gain as a company from their own original franchise than from a lower-selling adaptation of someone elses' manga. So it's up to Square Enix to want to do it. Even if Seven Arcs wasn't interested, there are plenty of studios that could handle a show like Sekirei, whereas Dog Days should really stay with Seven Arcs since they're so deeply involved in it.

Winter season is much too soon for something announced just now. Next fall is too far away. I'd guess next Summer, like the past two seasons, wouldn't you?

I want reverse conditions for this one!
Meaning plot taking place in the "real" world!

I want at least one more season in Flonyard first, so YUUSHA NANAMI can get her turn as the main character.

But another season after that bringing Millhi and friends to Earth would definitely be amazing.

Well, I would've never expected so many seasons...
Can't say I'm thrilled about it, but I'll definitely watch it.
Dog Days is a nice relaxing anime.

Such formula is right for SOL animes but we have comedy fantasy with some romance and action here. Even things like Zero no Tsukaima needed some larger changes to keep the interest

Well, I'd say it is alright for Dog Days, since the second season removed almost all the "plot", traditionally defined, and is doing very well. This seems to be exactly what Dog Days BD buyers like me want. I didn't mind the plot in season one (unlike a lot of people) but season two felt even better without it.

As for ZnT, being another fantasy/romance/action just describes the general genre types. It says nothing about execution, which is all-important. ZnT and Dog Days aren't doing the same thing and don't need to.

Personally (aka my opinion again), every way in which Dog Days chose to be different from something like ZnT resulted in a huge, huge improvement. ZnT did a lot of unnecessary things, and did them largely poorly, in my eyes.

"Slice of life" is a very broad notion, not a strictly defined genre. That's why I didn't call Dog Days a "slice of life anime". I just was saying that it appeals to me in a way similar to Hidamari Sketch (far moreso than ZnT). I want to spend more time with these characters. I enjoy their personalities and their quirks. I like watching how their relationships form and grow. It doesn't necessarily matter what they're doing, per se. I just like being around them. I could watch them going about their lives forever, whether something dramatic happened or not.

Well, if you watch last episode of S2, I think Cinque mention that he will comeback around fall or winter if I remember. And since he has done his promise in S2 (returning on summer which is the same month of the anime airing), would it be possible as the anime will air like the season he returned to Flonyard does?

EDIT: For season 1, he actually came around spring which is the same as the anime aired.

3rd season of Dog Days eh? Guess I'll have to start watching the first two seasons this winter when I have some backlog to get caught up on at the same time.

Ah you're right, I keep thinking season one aired in the Summer, but it was indeed Spring.

I'd still be surprised at either Winter '13 or Fall '13. They just seem too close and too far, respectively. But Fall would be more likely than Winter. Hopefully I can survive that long without more DD.

Yeah, I can see how are your feeling. I like DD too and if I remember I think the new season will have 'serious' plot than 2nd season according to some forums. I'm not sure though so I'm keeping finger cross here.
