Monster was licensed and broadcasted in my country Singapore in one of the art channels. In fact the channel is still showing a rerun of the season at present. However still few have watched it in Singapore i think. It's so good that it's a pity. |

Saw it on Crunchyroll years ago, and it had quite reasonable ratings. |

I read a review about it and decided to give it a shot since the story appealed to me on the first sight. And I'm glad I did. |

After seeing it recommended on a few manga I read before, like Death Note and Liar Game, I decided to get a few volumes and see how it was, but unfortunately, the heavy dialogue early on put me off for some time. Then after a while, I decided to give it a second chance, and its easily become my favorite manga, not to mention Urasawa's now my favorite mangaka. |

I'm just in the middle of watching it, as everyone around was talking how great it is. So, I decided to try it out. The crappy animation annoyed me a lot at first, but then I got used to it, so right now it's probably on my top 20. |

My friend recommended me to watch the anime Monster. At first I had my doubts because it was ''ordinary'' but the opening was so deep and dark that I decided to continue on watching it and before I knew it I fell in love with this anime. It's dark, there are some funny parts too.And this anime also shows that there is no need for shinigami or any other weird non realistic things for the anime to be interesting. ^^ |

Recommended by MAL/a friend on MAL & I thought it would try it since it's listed as being similar to Death Note, but ultimately, I preferred Monster. It didn't have a bad ending like Death Note; on the contrary, the last 10 episodes of Monster are my favorites. |

3 years ago I was pretty much into anime, I liked shounens more than anything else. I read on a otaku magazine about it, and the summary looked really good, so I bought it ( I used to live in Peru, and even though the anime wasn't licensed some fandubs did the job and sell it) Then, after watching, it became my favorite anime ever. And my favorite type of mangas is now Seinen :) |

I believe it was last year, when I really got into collecting manga seriously. And I saw this series in someone's manga collection on youtube, and he said it was "like Death Note", and that really drew me in. So I picked up volume one and instantly fell in love with it. It's been my favorite manga ever since. Nothing's beaten it yet. :) |

I found it under recommendations for Death Note, & some people even claimed that they liked it better than Death Note, & I had heard good things about Urasawa, so I tried it out. Glad I did, it was amazing. |

While searching for some medical-themed anime, it was Monster that caught my eye. Monster isn't your animated House, it's much deeper than that! "I'm not a weeaboo, I swear to Kami-sama!" |
