Dat dreams. Shuusei sure is a pretty good cook imo. I'd eat his food.

I find that senpai at the school sort of strange. She seems graceful but the paintings she's drawing...and the way she conveys the Shakespearean themes. Anyways, I'm hoping for more action next time although this was an alright episode.

Holy shit @ ending. That statue. That drawing.

Episode starts out pretty good in terms of that nightmare Kougami has. Seems a picture also mentions of him having a partner whom looks pretty cool in appearance. It looks like some crime intervention happened and it tuned sour from how it goes. To the point it was trauma inducing on Kougami to the point of him still having nightmares over it.

Very interesting lady introduction happens in this episode and it seems Akane is being looked at. Old lady looks like some bureaucrat IMO.

The crime that Akane has to deal with this time looks to be a hard Cold Case. It’s rather the most disturbing so far IMO. Akane’s expressions well showed that. While can’t deny those Yuri eye signs of Shion towards her female favourite.

Akane on the other hand was quite fascinating being drunk with Kagari. I was thinking something of sex would happen but alas no. However it’s interesting to note that Kagari likes to play arcades and pool. His bar place lunge is also nicely done and I wonder if it’s real or custom holographically made.

Don’t be surprised in the following,

That senpai probably has a Psycho-Pass level that is abnormal. I wouldn't be surprised if she gets targeted real soon.

Nice~ Ishida-san's character is good at cooking! Through being drunk, he spilled out the past story of the main guy(?).

Wait, Sakamoto-san's character is the "killer" this ep.? Painter who kill in artistic way... wow.

A great plot building episode. A lot of information was given to us today regarding Kogami's past which was very needed after teasing it for the past couple of episodes. The producers of this show are pretty creative for the psycho profiles of the killers and the way they get rid of their victims.

This week's death was especially chilling with the final shot of the dismemberment of the yuri girl Her legs in a wing position where arms should be and her head at her stomach was creepy as hell. Oryo, the art club president, is getting backed by the same benefactor of Kogami's past case it seems. Pieces are getting shifted around which should lead to a thrilling arc.

Personally I still wonder if there is some religious meaning behind her art or anything regarding it for that matter.

Anyway going into her mind is like bringing rage to me. I should not but curiosity bites me a lot.

Totally knew it was Orya the first time I saw her, freaking creepy and totally fits the type.

So someones pulling all the strings in the background eh? This is getting pretty interesting.

If you really want to fit in, just put Legend of the Galactic Heroes in your top 5 and have it be the only 10-rated anime in your list.

Interesting to see how the cases were being tied together, and I'm wondering how this will link to Kougami's past.

The scene between Shuusei and Akane reinforced my impression that our female inspector is not the innocent, naive freshman she seems to be. Hints are dropped all over the place how she will follow Kogami's path eventually but her peculiar traits make me wonder if there is a twist to how she will develope over the course of this series.

What I found interesting is how so far it's the"villanous" or at least morally ambigious characters" who are explicitly exclaiming the flaws of the system vocally, which puts the viewer in an awkward position since these are flaws that the most heinous characters are lamenting about, in this case the art club president. At the same time, I wonder what message the writer wants to deliver with the way how things are going.

I was more surprised there were nipples featured despite it being a drawing.

I am assuming it's another girl mutilating the breasts of the girl into a pile of skin/flesh with blood dried on it?

Ultimately twisting them into a spiral. Am I right on this?

Yeah, it actually caught me off guard when I saw it. But I said to myself, "It's Japan." So yeah...

And the beginning of the episode, the plastination bodies weren't really clear, so I was like, meh. Then I saw the painting... surprisingly scary.

I took another look at the statue at the end again because I couldn't tell whether she's upside down or right side up the first time...
Then I noticed... The body is right side up, but the head is in the stomach, legs and hands are switch. Ewww... >_>|||

No longer is it blended tomatoes, now we have a creepy girl and some disturbing works of art.

The weekly scanning procedure is unclear.
How does someone like this girl evade it? Though I guess killing people like that relaxes her and thus her psycho-pass remains clear.
Flawed indeed.

Kougami was like Akane and with that there's more foreshadowing.
She's spends a lot of time with Kagari.
He's keeps going on about her being so pure and yet she's the one holding her drinks down like a boss.

That was one creepy ass drawing.

You could kind of guess what would happen to that girl when her sempai was describing what happened to that other girl in that story. Still, seeing actually happen to an innocent girl like her kinda stunned me a little.

The details of the statue are far too explicit to put even into a book less it's 18+ We are talking of serious mutilations, dimemebering and worst of all gazing/placing the parts. Forget about the other guy, this girl actually plays with the parts and makes sure it is to her satisfaction whom is the art placement. This girls is twisted and one of them people that society sees not of the darkness till she kills a few too many.

Still the question remains WTF of the rest of the body? The pipes again? I wonder of it. Maybe it's all stuffed in there piece by piece?

I was going to point that out too.

The episode was pretty good again. More on Ko's past and more info about the main case of the series.

If only they didn't kill Mido... They could've interrogated him too.

It was pretty clear that the yuri senpai was the killer. But her MO is similar to the plastination case. The killer might be disguising himself as a high school girl to hide from the police and find new victims. But it coulbe a copycat.

About the scan, the school is an isolated ambient for girls, so they don't get scanned on the streets like others do. It's kinda similar to the factory environment. that allowed the robot guy to escape detection.

I should've paid attention to it sooner, but the OP lyrics really fit with the anime's setting.

Also, Kana, Miyuki and Maaya in the same episode. Pure win.

Not sure what to think of random girl yet, but the connection to the old case with Sasayama was interesting, as was finally getting to know some of what happened back then. I could see Sasayama having faked his death and be the mastermind behind this.

Somehow, knowing Kogami's past makes him a bit less badass ... I mean he's not really that cool and mysterious anymore.

So basically, the white-haired guy was the one behind it all, be it the present cases or the ones three years ago. Meh, predictable anyway.
But i think things will start to get interesting soon, when we'll learn more about the white-haired guy and how he is related to Kogami, and when the two of them will somehow contact in the present.

All the villains that keep popping up are even crazier and more sadistic than the last. This new girl is especially twisted. I can only imagine what kind of devious villain we'll run into by the end of the season.

PERFECT, this is how the episodes should keep rolling out.

There is nothing worse than a protagonist without motivation, Kogami officially has it, and for a solid reason as well. Subtle effects of the toll on (main character forget her name) have been showing, and I expect her meeting with her friends and her condition to represent her state, which is a good indicator. There are references and symbolism everywhere, and knowing the writer, that.. piece of art probably has a resemblance to the society that exists in this show. The pace was consistent, and we can already tell the main villain is motivated, he wants to crush the Sibyl system from the inside out. This is a prime example of a lawful evill villain; one of the best kinds, because from his view his objective is just.

That Oryo is truely psychopath of psychopaths.
Statistically, most psychopaths just kidnapped, raped and bury.
However, Oryo is on a whole different level. She charmed, seduce, dissect, and display her victim as an art to the public.
If that avatar guy had crime efficient level of 335. I wonder how high her crime efficient is.
If she is that sick, the main villain hacker dude's crime efficient level must be 1000+.

It will be pretty cool that if the Dominator have a even more powerful lethal modes to ensure guarantee execution of high level psycho.
Such as a satellite laser cannon. ><
-Example: Kogami found the guy that kill his bro.
Dominator: *Crime Efficient is 1255*
*Enforcement mode is Lethal Eliminator*
*Aim Carefully*
--Kogami fire and missed couple shots. Psycho dude escaping.
*Target escaping. Chance of Failure is 86.5%*
*Satellite Laser Support unlock.... Tracking*
*Target Located. Firing...*
**BOOM*

lol. :P. I being childish. This will be pretty anti-climatic was to kill the antagonist but will be pretty epic to watch.

Nah I got your answer.

She has a fast metabolism.

Notice when she is red around the face then is not? She already has processed the alcohol. If anything she genetically modified to tolerate alcohol as much as IRL you can have your kid be resistant to it by genetic modification.

While I have a strong stomach for dark and violent anime and unfazed by even Gen Urobuchi's own Saya No Uta, the ending where the girl got mutilated and turned into "art" is as close as any anime has come to making me feel pukey.

I can take outright violence but having it turned into something beautifully artistic and symbolic as if the body parts were props for expression...that disparity is enough to send bile to my throat.

Gonna watch some of Fall Season's other line-up like Robotics;Notes to get my mind off that scene...*shudder*.

Actually that statue was just creepy not really guro or pukey worthy.

As for the art, it retains some level of beauty even though the intent to kill and preserve that state is very prominent.

Then again, most guro enthusiasts will agree on that part.

This is what I came up and yeah it's amateur detective work at most lame a little.

First of all let's observe that statue in the spoiler
based on Rikako's claim of Lavinia and her talk of the Shakespeare piece Titus Andronicus she enforced it on Kuzuhara. Now the only way to do that so it matches it is of the following passage "During a royal hunt the following day, Aaron persuades Demetrius and Chiron to kill Bassianus, so they may rape Lavinia. They do so, throwing Bassianus' body into a pit, and dragging Lavinia deep into the forest before violently raping her. To keep her from revealing what has happened, they cut out her tongue and cut off her hands." Indeed my conclusion is Kuzuhara was raped and to relieve her of like she mentions shame she kills her. Twisted shit. BUT THAT'S NOT ALL! OH NO NO!

I figured out her next play and move on Yoshioka.

Based on her claims of problems with the stepfather. I think of:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/King_Lear
cause of the attempted rape and it's a cruel story.

Also the roses on the statue can mean the rape presentation in artful way.

Guess I forgot the rest.

I assembled the pic in the spoiler for a better view of it.

The drawing indeed is the work she did and seems she wants to have it as a souvenir of some sort, hence why IMO she is drawing it.

Now I IDed the girl as being Kuzuhara Satsuki the missing girl. Pretty sure it's her.
and now I embark on my analyzations before I forget them.

The villain clearly against Sybil system. Meanwhile, we got Kogami, a protagonist with basic motive: revenge.

Doesn't it make you think carefully on which side you are? We know there's something wrong with the system: fake reality (holograms), people's life determined by machine (psycho-pass digital checking and esp, first ep case on the woman victim). Then, there's a villain who's breaking the system, freeing people's desires (the extreme ones, though). It will be dillematic for our protagonist *Akane, I'm looking at you* to choose. Akane's the one because I could say, she's the purest one of the gang...and she's the one potentially to be in "gray" area.

I could agree with the people in previous discussions or other forums (I forgot) that there's something special with Akane, how her psycho-pass is hardly affected..and now she's a tough drinker. It might be trivial clues, but yeah, it just could be.
Waiting for next week anime gives me another reason to live.

Very impressed. I didn't fully understand what I was looking at when I first saw the 'statue' at the end, that was brilliantly put together. This main villain is starting to feel a lot more dangerous than the white haired pretty boy he appears to be. I also appreciate the fact that Kogami is motivated by the memory of his friendship with sayama, instead of just hate and anger. Final note, I loved how Akane burst out laughing when asked if she was in love, instead of blushing or stammering. They said they'd avoid moe, and they are doing just that.
