| I typically read doujins which are often de-censored by the community, but yeah it would be a plus for them to be uncensored... I mean, think of all the things you can have in hentai (tentacles, etc.), but boobs and baby makers are too much? Society is freaking weird about that. Especially America. | I was just reading an article about Japanese censorship. It was on Kotaku if I remember correctly. Anywho, the jist of it is it was originally censored due to the claim that pornography raised crime rates. While this has been disproved, Japan is one of the few modern nations that still actively enforces its obsenity laws. Fun fact, the United States also has many of the same laws but chooses instead not to act on them. The article went on to state that some forecasters see an end to these laws due to increased evidence that porn does not inspire criminal deviance. |
