| Well this episode did a great job at ruining the dark atmosphere of the show. Easily the most out of place episode in the anime. They suddenly add in Hell Boy without even giving us an explanation of why he's there? Hope we don't see him again, he was a cheeky dickwaffle. |
| I don't think the flaw is within the episode's premise itself, but rather that it was treated as a forgettable episodic side story with little to no relevance to the bigger picture (just like with Nina). This actually felt refreshing only because it was finally a break from the same old copy/paste string pulling. Even as silly as this episode was, I don't think it broke the dark atmosphere of JS considering many of the supposedly dark moments have been very laughable and tame at best. Jigoku Shoujo needs more episodes like this. Not like this one, but ones that stray from the formulaic path it's stayed on so far. |

| I like that they are apparently trying to start revealing something about Ai, but the manner they used was second rate. The fake psychic was annoying. The kid with psychic powers was annoying. The whole thing felt out of place. |

| I was really excited for this episode after the preview but it was really badly executed even though the premise was interesting. SO many unanswered questions like: Why does he have psychic powers (this world is supposed to be world without abilities right?) How did he come out of hell? Interesting that he sees Ai too and i liked how he threw them around like that. Looks like we are seeing glimpse of Ai's past and her story. SO that's it? we wont see a fancy magic boy anymore? Also finally Ai's team found out the truth behind Hajime's daughter. Weak execution :( 6.5/10 |
| This episode was out of place and silly. "This episode is good because it is different". Yeah, they could put Enma Ai there, just looking at you for 20 minutes and it would be different. Bad, but different. |

| Ok while I dont really love this episode, I can't say it was bad thanks to that last part before the ending song started playing, we're starting to see Ai's past kinda. So all her family was murdered? And I don't understand why some people were complaining about how Ai showed a lot of emotions? Yes, this episode was dumb because it tried to be funny and I didn't like it at all. This isn't Jigoku Shoujo's selling point. I still dont see how Ai showed "a lot" of emotions. |
