AKB just barely above 4k... I miss the days of Vol 1, such a shame the show isn't appreciated more but it's still a pretty decent result I think. Can't wait for Next Stage. Campione 3,756 - nice, I enjoyed the series. Maybe it will get next season if LN sales got boosted enough? Horizon II, 21k average, I'm waiting. Kuroko is amazing - 4,698 second week Strange numbers for vol 5... oh, it's Hyouka. It started dropping after all. Last week I said AKB0048 and Campione should rank and indeed they are almost the only new titles in the BD list (though Sengoku Collection shows up in the DVD list). Good to see Nogizaka Haruka OVA ranked too. AKB0048 in fact jumps a bit in sales and so far is pretty consistent for the sales figure. Bodes well for the second season (although graduation of Kuumin, the SKE48 members who voiced Sonata, could present some challenges for the 2nd season) SAO is touching the IS line, but on its 2nd week, still has not quite broke the line: Infinite Stratos 38,885 by 2nd week Sword Art Online 37,643 by 2nd week |

So MAL finally starts locking news threads that are only a few weeks old? I wonder where was the announcement of this change? Or we are seeing yet another case of changes made that impacted users but not communicated to them? I wonder how long people would put up with this. As much as I have a bunch of information to share about anime announced recently I cannot share it in news board, and the anime series is too disorganized and chaotic to share information except with people already interested in the particular series. |

Maybe it would have added more in that. At least 1000 copies more. Same for Hakuouki. And I have to correct myself: Vol.2 indeed has event ticket included. So the real test may be after this vol.2 ... In short, I think even with the vol.1 sales figure it is hard to argue that this shows Arcana Famiia is "liked by the Japanese" as the sales is hardly anything to boast about. That said, it is true that it sold more than many people expected. However since I have not paid much attention about the show, I do not have any theory why this should be the case. |

Hmmm... Kokoro Connect didn't sell as poorly as I had expected, given all that crap they did to that seiyuu. But it would be one of the top BDs this season if that never happened... Such a shame. Also, Seven Arcs, do not even dare to announce a season 3 of Dog Days before the season 3 of Sekirei. I wish I remembered how Sekirei's season 2 sold in terms of Blurays. |

Without the controversy, maybe it was on track to sell 4k BDs, on a good day. I'd bet more like 3.5k. I wish I remembered how Sekirei's season 2 sold in terms of Blurays. Average sales: 2,192 - DVD 3,663 - BD 5,855 - Total Decent, but less than Dog Days' is going to sell. Oh, thanks for the info. I love Dog Days, but I prefer Sekirei. They did hint a season 3 at the end of season 2, so I guess it's a matter of time. After season 2 of Sekirei, they already released 2 seasons of Dog Days, and that seems kinda unfair for some fans. But I guess they should sell what sells the most. |

jmal said: Now I see what I got wrong: I thought vol.1 has event ticket but in fact only vol.2 has event ticket but not vol.1 In this case, perhaps the very small drop of sales of vol.2 (assuming the BD indeed sold >1000 copies) was in fact due to the event ticket and would have been worse if the ticket was not included? I get why Vol. 1 sold more than expected (massively underrepresented at Stalker/Amazon), what I don't get is why Vol. 2 didn't sell more since it's got the ticket app. Very odd. Maybe Vol. 1 came with another very desirable (even more than the event application) extra at specialty B&M retailers like Animate and whatnot. Limechan said: To be honest, I looked at the source video and I still could not say it was definitely a case of mass bullying instead of a terribly misconceived and misfired PR campaign that had the seiyuu's prior knowledge (although how happy he was about taking the job when his agency told him about it is another question).Hmmm... Kokoro Connect didn't sell as poorly as I had expected, given all that crap they did to that seiyuu. |

Is there any site to quickly look up and get an overview of what is getting released each week? And I wouldn't be surprised if K stays under 2k, rather the opposite. And I still don't get why they would sell Vol 1 & 2 at the same time, and so early too. Maybe they don't have confidence in the second half of the show? ^^ |

Well Seven Arcs makes one Tv series along with one Movie every year so far they have not yet annouced what anime they will produce so there still a chance for either a third season of Sekirei or Dog Days to come out, Dog Days and Sekirei both have been succesfull for the studio but Dog Days has an advantage because its an orignal series while sekirei is based of a manga. When the second season finished airing they rushed the story to finish exactly the manga had finished so there was not enough material to cover for a new anime but now it has a chance for a 2013 release because the Third stage has finally been finished and each season covers each a stage of the plan and i really hope so because im a huge fan of it. As For Dog Days It has also been a success for Seven Arcs And the Fact that its an original project with no need of a manga or LN to adapt it from it also has the potential to have a third season since they can make up as many stories as they please so even it has a huge chance for another season released in 2013. In My opinion (partially because im more of a sekirei fan) i think they might take a break from dog days since they dedicated 2 years straight to create dogs days already and focus on another Sekirei season as i said the manga has now advanced enough for another season. Or they might focus on a new anime entirely or a new season of another Anime series that they have |

Thanks very much jmal, that stalker link is especially helpful. Unfortunately I can't really navigate the site on my own, I wouldn't have found that page even if I knew it was there ^^. So Toriko Vol 12 didn't even crack the threshold this week? That's a bit sad, but not really relevant for the TV series I guess. So Moyashimon Vol 3 is also coming out next week. Is there some event ticket involved or can I assume that stalker estimates are too high? I doubt it would start stronger than the previous volumes with no incentive. |

Speaking for length at least, it's already basically confirmed it'll be more than two cour. What form it takes beyond episode 26 is not yet known. Most likely it'll get a two cour sequel like Clannad. I don't think length will be an issue. There is a very tiny chance it gets a 2 cour sequel. 1 cour is kinda pushing it unless they plan on doing the EX routes as well... if they decided to do 4 episodes per route it may of been 2 cour but it doesn't seem like they are doing that. |
