i found it, too, under the japanese name akage no anne
i am watching it right now, and for someone who's read the novel about fifty times, it is surprisingly accurate!!
even animes that come out of mangas, and have the same staff working on it and everything aren't usually that close to the original story!!
it's probably so far one of the best adaptations i have ever seen
also, there are fifty chapters in the book, and each episode is a chapter, how cool is that???

There is no japanese dub, but I somehow like the german voices, they are quite fitting. A nice series, I enjoy it really much even though it is made for little children and does not have a really fast progressing story.

yeah, i am probably the stupidest person in the world for not thinking to look it up by akage no anne!
Seriously, i am usually the one replying to these kinda things, telling OTHERS how easy it is to find this lol
