| For this contest, we will be creating fanart of our favourite cartoons. This is any animated movie or series that is not from Japan. Now, there are some stipulations I would like to impose on the contest. Please refrain from shows such as The Simpsons or Southpark, or movies like Persepolis. I'd like for this to be a contest showing the cartoons we adored while growing up. While this is a fanart contest, do not have straight-to-paper stills from the show. It is fine to draw specific scenes, but add personal style and make them your own. Make it so that you are still present in your drawing. Like this piece from Beauty and the Beast. Also, feel free to have completely original arrangements for your picture like this Invader Zim drawing. Also, I want to avoid cartoons based of off pre-existing franchises. Things like Batman: The Animated Series, The Real Ghostbusters, or anything from the Marvel Universe. Shows like this are off limits for now, and will most likely be saved for a different type of contest. Cartoons like Inspector Gadget, the Disney Movies, and Avatar: The Last Airbender predate any other adaptations though, and are a good example of what is acceptable. This is a chance at reliving a bit of your childhood, and putting your art skills to use, so have fun! As always, multiple submissions are allowed, and please remember to use spoilers. Entries are due December 3rd. |

| No, not at all. If there is a show you really liked, by all means, use that as your choice! I only listed American cartoons because that's what I grew up with. In fact, in the comments section I stated, "I don't think well known characters should be a requirement though. This could be quite the nostalgic contest for people working with cartoons from their childhood, and that shouldn't be limited to just popular series. Plus, those club members who grew up in different countries might not know of famous characters from the U.S. and vice-versa anyway." So, feel free to do whatever you like as long as it fits within the other parameters. |

| ianknight180 cartoons, no anime at all. It is dedicated for our favorite childhood cartoons mostly :D not necessarily famous. |
