Wanted to post this in the "VN Recommendation" club, but there are only three threads there, and they seemed to be lack of activity, so.

Now, before I start dishing out requests, for your convenience, here's my VNDB list:
http://vndb.org/u34287/list

For further convenience, here's my list of VNs and the score I gave them:

Playing
- Kana ~Imouto~
- Kanon

Finished
- School Days (9)
- Clannad (8)
- Little Busters! (7)
- Thousand Dollar Soul (8)

Dropped
- Higurashi no Naku Koro ni (refrained from voting)
- Ryoujoku Soukan Zu ~ Kyousei Ninshin Seieki Jigoku (5)
- Shukketsubo ~Senaka no Oetsu~ (4)
- Swan Song (7)
- Tsuki ~Possession~ (5)

Stalled
- Cinders
- Ever17 -the out of infinity- (7)
- Fate/stay night
- Remember11 -the age of infinity-
- Saya no Uta
- Shuffle!
- Tsukihime

Now that we've put that aside, let's get started with the details.

My favorite VN thus far is Clannad. It was lengthy, very interactive with multiple branches and routes, and it even has a solid story to boot. Little Busters was kinda a let-down, but I love the Refrain arc of the game. Nevertheless, I'm looking forward to playing Kanon, Air, and when the english patch is released, Rewrite, too. All of these games have two things in common - they were made by Key, and they have a highly tangible branching plot that refrains (pun unintended) from being linear.

Fate/stay night and Tsukihime, on the other hand, utterly show the opposite trend, with the former being practically completely linear, with no sense of choice as to what kind of story you want to read, or how you want to read it.

The sense of choice in Clannad (and the Mass Effect series) was what made the experience so addictive for me. Not only does it guarentee a high amount of replayability, it makes the story feel alive and realistic, like anything could happen in the course of the story. It's not merely about wanting random choices popping out every five minutes as many non-linear haters promoted. Rather, for me at least, it's more about having a story experience that I could personally, spiritually connect with, to make it feel as if I'm in/part of the story.

School Days was a wonderful experience. When I first played it, I didn't take any walkthrough. I merely choose the conversation options that I'd normally choose IRL, and in the end, there was a very satisfying feeling when I got to the ending. Call it a personality test, if you will. That's why School Days is a game, while Fate/stay night is a novel.

Don't get me wrong. Fate/stay night probably has a magnificent story that I'll get to... someday. In fact, if a story with high interactivity but has a lousy story, I'll definitely turn my back to it as well, for story in anything (anime/manga/VN) matters a lot to me. That's why it's so hard for me to find many VNs that suit my taste. So far, only School Days and anything made by Key were tremondously fun for me. The others felt kinda... meh. It's like, I'm just sitting there and reading stuff, having no participation at all. Heck, I don't even like reading that much (aside from manga). Hence the reason why I'm more into anime than manga.

TL;DR version
In conclusion, I'm looking for VNs with:
- Medium to Very Long amount of playtime (at least 20-30 hours, please)
- Branching plot with many paths (the likes of Clannad and School Days)
- Multiple Endings (more than seven is preferable)
- Lots of choices
- GOOD STORY (important, please; that's why I didn't mention Dating Sim games)
- English translation patch
- Windows/PC only (though Android works, too)

All the following aspects are optional, but would boost my playing experience:
- Early Branching Plot
- High amount of bad endings
- Multiple Opening/Ending Songs (like School Days)
- More than Seven Heroines
- Horror Genre

Thanks for reading my lengthy post. :)

Monmusu Quest 1-2:
- Medium to Very Long amount of playtime (at least 20-30 hours, please)
Check. First and second part together makes playtime long enough.
- High amount of interactivity
Check. There a LOT of interactivity. It is VN/text-RPG, you know.
- Multiple Endings (more than seven is preferable)
Check. So much endings, i can't even count. Maybe 100 or more?
- Lots of choices
Check. You can choose to be raped, or you can decide to win. Even choose a location to go first!
- GOOD STORY (important, please; that's why I didn't mention Dating Sim games)
Check. This porno-doujinshi-RPG-thing has very good story. Seriously.
- English translation patch
Check.
- Windows/PC only (though Android works, too)
Well, it works not only on PC. It can be ported on Android too.

All the following aspects are optional, but would boost my playing experience:
- Early Branching Plot
Fail. No branches. Only bad endings.
- High amount of bad endings
Check. Hundred or more of them, as i wrote before.
- Multiple Opening/Ending Songs (like School Days)
Fail. Doujinshi novel' developers usually has no money for this.
- More than Seven Heroines
Check. And not every one of them kills you. There are happy endings too.
- Horror Genre
Basically, no. But hero can be killed in many perverted ways.

First of all, thanks for the quick reply! :)

Second, just gonna check with you... did these two parts of your post meant that the VN don't have many branching storylines, but have high interactivity as an RPG? 'Coz, according to this link, the VN is tagged with "linear plot." Might be a mistake in tagging but, if it's correct, then it's kinda my fault, too, as I kinda failed to state clearly on having "multiple branching storylines" (the likes of Key VNs) as one of the essential requirements that I'm looking for... Hehe. Sorry.

Monmusu Quest 1 is linear, you follow one route, fight monster girls on the way, and when you loose you get nice game-over reverse-rape. I didn't read/play the 2nd part, but as far as I know it's pretty much the same, only with a few slightly different endings. So no, story isn't really that interactive.

As for my recommendations, ONE seems like the best choice, since it's Key after all (or rather, it was made by the group of people that later formed Key). It isn't very long, but has a crapton of choices, 6 heroines and the story is rather good (though not as good as Kanon). It doesn't have too many bad endings and obviously isn't a horror though (it has some moments that are somewhat darker than later Key's works). Also, it's old, don't expect good graphics and OP/ED.

Other than that, I know some VNs that were quite interactive, but wasn't really for my liking for one reason or another. But well, I don't mind the lack of choices, and actually prefer the Novel part of VNs, so you may consider checking them out:
- Koisuru Oukoku - a dating sim with very annoying gameplay that I have put on hold for quite some time (note that I don't like dating sims in general). Other games like that are very shallow and plotless, but here every heroine has a regular story, that resembles routes in normal VNs. And those stories that I have read were quite solid and interesting. The gameplay is a big flaw for me, but it certainly adds a ton of interactivity, as what you do and where you go everyday determines the route/ending.
- Critical Point - a good number of choices with a lot of endings. This VN has unique routes, so I'm not entirely sure if that kind of interactivity will appeal to you (the choices don't only change the outcome, they alter the whole plot - different characters turn out to be villains etc.). It's from the SF/mystery genre, not a horror, but it's still a bit dark. The "GOOD STORY" part is a bit questionable though, but that may be just my opinion. Well, I won't say that it's bad at least.
- Bible Black - personally, I disliked this VN quite a bit. But it certainly has the interactivity, the choices appear often, there's a good amount of endings, including some bad ones too. It has an occult theme, and is slightly closer to the horror genre than the previous titles (but still quite far from it unfortunately). The biggest problem is the fact that it's a nukige - the story is secondary, H is the main focus. It still has a decent amount of plot though, certainly much more than your average nukige, and a lot of people say that the story was quite good. I didn't like it at all though, and I hated almost all characters (and the H was a complete miss for me too). But well, opinions. If you feel like porn with some plot, and large breasts and BDSM are your thing, you can consider giving it a try. Maybe. :P

One Rec from me:

Kara no Shoujo. Going through your list:

In conclusion, I'm looking for VNs with:
- Medium to Very Long amount of playtime (at least 20-30 hours, please)
CHECK. I didn't stop time, but i read for quite a long time
- Branching plot with many paths (the likes of Clannad and School Days)
CHECK...somehow. There aren't classic "routes" or paths. The plot can go many different ways
- Multiple Endings (more than seven is preferable)
CHECK:I count 9 ending(mostly quite long ones), but i'm not sure, wether i got all
- Lots of choices
CHECK. You have to make a lot of decisions in very different ways(not only the classic "choose one answer" thing, but you have to choose locations and have detective work to do)
- GOOD STORY (important, please; that's why I didn't mention Dating Sim games)
CHECK: Has a very dark and twisted story about a film noir-style detective solving horrible murder cases while coping with his own sad past.
- English translation patch.
Got a mangagamer release in english. it's without the original voices, but you can patch this quite easily
- Windows/PC only (though Android works, too)
CHECK.
All the following aspects are optional, but would boost my playing experience:
- Early Branching Plot
CHECK. You start very early with making decisions, that can change the whole plot.
- High amount of bad endings
Since it's a very fucked up and dark story, almost every ending is a bad ending and even the "good endings" are bittersweet at best
- Multiple Opening/Ending Songs (like School Days)
nope.
- More than Seven Heroines
not really. there are a lot of girls, and you can copulate with quite a lot of them, but only one to two of them are characterized as real "heroines"
- Horror Genre
It's a mostly mystery story, but involves a lot of extreme horror scenes and suspense.
In 9/10 cases, the worst thing about an anime is its fandom.

Oh yeah. Definitely going to try ONE after I finished Kanon. And maybe after I've played Air, too. That is, if I don't find Air to be too boring (it's Key's oldest release, after all).

Yeah, I don't really like VNs with annoying (or boring) gameplay, either (Fading Hearts, for example). I don't mind VNs wuth no gameplay, but when it does, I expect it not to waste my time with crappy boring decisions.

Thus, I'm gonna say here first: forget about the interactivity part of my request. Just focus on the "branching plot" part. In fact, I don't even know why I put "high interactivity" there in the first place. -_-" I'm looking for a story, not an RPG. :P Sorry about that.

Nevertheless, I'll give Koisuru Oukoku a try someday. Not very soon, though, considering the gameplay.

4 out of 5 reviews criticized the story of this VN. Considering that I'm also not a big fan of overly Sci-Fi-ish stories (that are too detached from realistic/modernized settings), I don't think this would suit me. Sorry. :(

Tried it for five minutes the other day. Actually, this one doesn't seem too bad. I'm a guy, I won't deny, so porn with good story is definitely worth spending time with for me. :P And yes, I kinda like the BDSM genre, either, but I won't go further than that about my fetish... ahem.

Nevertheless, it's still porn that focuses more on H than plot. So no, won't be playing this for a while, unless I'm bored or something.

Initially, I refrained from choosing this VN due to its mystery genre. Story that has too much investigations and not so much on the plot or character development can get too boring for me (compare the latest episodes of Detective Conan to the more character-focused older episodes). Nevertheless, from what you described, this one sounds good to me. :)

Thanks for all the excellent recommendations. Keep them coming, as I still don't quite feel that there's a VN here that could quite top Clannad or School Days in terms of both good story and decision-making, yet (except for maybe Kara no Shoujo). Okay, so School Days doesn't have the BEST story, ever, but it kept me entertained with enjoyable characters and, more importantly, kept me entertained with the sense of choice that made me feel that the fate of who gets sliced and who gets pushed onto an incoming train lies in my hands. Hahaha...

Not really. Key's first release was Kanon, Air was second. There are also two earlier VNs, made by the same group of people. One is... well ONE, mentioned earlier, and that is the foundation of the whole nakige genre. But the real origin of Key is nothing like their later VNs - it's a dark psychological thriller/horror with quite some nasty H-scenes - Moon. I'd say it's a must-read for every Key fanboy, just to see what the guys famous for innocent nakiges did in the past. :P

Dang it. What the heck? I just clicked on something nasty. lol The Key sure had been turned over the years, huh? Getitgetit? Key, turned...NvM.

Reminds me of the first draft of Toy Story Pixar originally wrote. Let's just say that Woody used to be filled with a lot more angst. A lot more.
