| It was a nice episode. The thrill, the dread, the dilemma... everything one'd feel after being forced into playing a survival game are brought across aptly. And am I the only one who thinks that the old man Sakamoto joined hands with will eventually backstab him? |

| I really liked this episode. We now understand what the hell is going on this island. The trap that guy set up was pretty badass. MC isn't a bitch either which is a plus. Surprised the girl didn't join up just yet after that whole episode dedicated to her backstory, but no biggie. With that crazy kid being shown at the end of the episode, next episode looks like it's gonna be epic. Might have to pick up the manga if this keeps up haha |

| My only complaint is Taira's face, it looks a bit off but other than that I like the fast pace, I wonder where they will make the cuts, though. Anyway, let the insanity begin. | Its not a horrible rip off, but its like a direct rip-off of Battle Royal and even Hunger Games. Its still early though, the show can have its own unique twist, but other then that, its hard for me to get into it with better stuff such as Battle Royal. |
| Cool episode. 4/5 This anime is doing great to fit the psychological genre. I really like the OP and ED because they're simply awesome, although the ED doesn't fit this series. Taira is pretty cool. I like the three "main" characters so far. |

| Kira's finally here! They'll probably show his backstory in the next episode. I thought his voice was perfect in the preview. Sawashiro Miyuki is incredible, as always. This anime is just getting better and better, although I do think 12 episodes are not enough.. Wonder how they're going to end the anime with that. On a side note, I'll definitely be looking forward to the next episode! |
| I waited for this guy that showed up after ED.He seems badass and sadistic on OP, im interested in his character. I would like to see more important girls though, because for now we have only Himiko.Some random one died, and thats all. 4/5 much better than week ago. |

| This is only 12 episodes yet it's feel really slow paced atm. I wonder if they're planning to do a second season or something. Next episode will probably a battle with that crazy kid. |

| That old guy is smarter than he looks. This game is getting intense! It finally explained on how they got to the island... Though it didn't explain yet on how they were gathered. I wonder what chaos that kid will bring to them. |

| I always liked the old guy. It's just not the kind of person you would expect to be of any use, I like how Btooom doesn't just make him into the usual "overweight, stupid, first to die" stereotype. On the other hand, the psycho kid is very boring type of character. Though in this case he is still pretty enjoyable - because he's not just the "kill everything in sight" psycho, he's actually kind of smart. All in all I like all the characters. Except maybe the girl. She's pretty boring. And mostly there for fanservice. Which is always annoying when so blatant. |

From what I can remember from the manga, only Himiko and Sakamoto (and maybe Oda) are confirmed gamers. These are all people who have been shunned by society, wasn't it explained in the last episode, you know, the survery? As for Taira, I kinda like him. I guess it's the dialect, I find it interesting (yeah, I knoe. Stupid reason, ain't it?) and next week Sakamoto finally goes Badass Btooom! Mode on the kid (who is insane, btw). |

That's how human psyche works - you may now state that no matter what, you would absolutely never eat a rat. That is incorrect. You would, if only the preconditions were right: starvation, exhaustion, and the lack of other resources. The urge to live is probably the strongest determinant to make a human being commit inhumane... or even inhuman acts. If someone had you at gunpoint, and offered you life for pulling a trigger at someone else... it's probable that you would decline. Because there's no process of assimilation in it. However, if the setting is as presented in this series (or, for instance, in Battle Royale) you have enough time to change your values and priorities. Or rather, it's not you changing them consciously, but your self-preservation innate behaviour rewrites them without your direct control over the process. If placed in a long-term situation in which the only option to avoid death is to kill, most human beings would break and adjust themselves. The logic behind it is definitely not null and void, it makes sense and holds water - if you disagree, sorry: you're the one in the wrong. |

| Things are finally getting interesting. At least we now know how the whole game started. That guy in the end is a confirmed psycho after watching the preview. Looking forward to Himiko and Ryouta actually meeting. |

| That was a good episode, I like the way things are going. Something to comment on, though, is that they are still surprised by what they see. So it seems that not everyone has adapted yet. Anyway, I guess we'll see more characters next time. This series reminds me of Gantz. It's a game sort-of concept, but it also sows the inhumane qualities of people. 4/5. |

| Great episode. Taira and Ryota finally meet. Food coming down via parachute scene was awesome. Oda is serious business. Man Ryota had some badass facial expressions, reminded me of Light from Death Note. Then again he does look like him. xD Awww yeaaah! Psychotic kid, Kira appears next episode. Sawashiro Miyuki voicing him made me fangasm rofl. Man I can't wait for episode 4. >=D |
