| Decent episode, was hoping much more. >< Looks like next episode won't be so much in it except the collapsing part. Overall I did like how Romeo went back to his father, decent episode. 7/10. Edit: Next episode in 2 weeks right? Aired: Apr 4, 2007 to Sep 13, 2007 |

| I figured Gonzo would do something to mess up the ending of this show. They seem to excel at doing that. They set up the ending to be a happy one which was a mistake if they wanted a tragic ending. Further, if they felt they had to end with tragedy they could have come up with something better than Juliet having to sacrifice her life to save the world. |

The character roles are different and the story line is completely changed. I wouldn't even be suprised if somehow there's a happy ending, hopefully not. And wtf? | I still weirdly like Mercutio lol. I was gonna say, I thought when I saw a trailer a few years ago Neo Verona was in space of floating or something then saw no sign of it but now it is a floating island which they only now just show. I was gonna say the same, it's not much like Romeo and Juliet any more, it's far different than I expected it to be tbh. I assume the tree is like the tree of life but why it requires Juliet's life as sacrifice to carry on, I'm not sure, because a Montague sinned, it needs a Capulet? Or was it always alive really because of a blood sacrifice from each of the families? I dunno. That seems like it could be it or would have been a good plot though. |

| I was hoping in vain that Escalus wouldn’t have too much plot relevance; it’s been half-baked from the beginning and just feels forced and unnecessary now. I was never expecting (or wanting) a completely happy ending, but if we seriously go with ‘Romeo and Juliet turn into/are reincarnated as trees’, I’ll be pretty disappointed. I’m also curious how Mercutio and Tybalt will play out in this final arc, since I imagine they’re meeting similar fates. I can’t quite see Romeo killing Tybalt at this point (or anyone else for that matter), but RxJ has reversed a lot of the original dynamics before this, so maybe Mercutio will slay Tybalt and prompt Juliet to kill him? They’ve certainly built up Juliet’s feelings towards violence, so it’d be a decent pay-off if nothing else. |
