Is it better to watch this instead of the first 2 episodes of the OVA, or is this better to rewatch after the series just to check it out?

I would recommend watching the main series first for better enjoyment, but I don't think it really matters whether you watch the first episodes and then this, or vice versa.

If this is the retelling of the first two episodes then go for this one first. I say this because I found the first two eps to be rushed and the result was a bit shabby. I havent seen it myself but after watching the first 4episodes of the oVA I feel this is where I should have started :P
