I just realized something. If all of them bet on Toua then no one will get paid even if Toua won.

What a god.

Most of the time, everyone focuses on the batters. Home-runs are praised, it is rare to see a shining pitcher. Just seeing every single batter get struck out by Toua was very pleasing to watch.

Come on man, can you at least look like you give 2 fucks? Toua, at least pretend to care. That other pitcher looks very interesting, I sense a heated rivalry brewing

Wow the owner of the Lycaons is sure having to give Toua a shitload of money. The owner's gonna go bankrupt if this keeps up.

I was confused about when Toua is supposed to pay the 50 million yen at first until I realized that he only has to give the owner 50 million yen if the opposing team scores a home run when he's pitching.

Great episode. It seems that this is where the anime truly begins.

Interesting way to not lose and get Toua on the team lol.

Toua is just so awesome! Pitching out entire teams, I didn't think it possible lol.

He gon' be rich!

Technically it isn't, mind games will never get you this far in Professional Baseball, mainly because batters are nowhere near as easily shaken. However having said that, I do like the set-up for this series. Also the fact the owner signed a contract like that with an "unknown" pitcher is even more dumb than signing a contract with a famous pitcher, at least then you could calculate your chances of losing/winning money.

This is my first sports anime. So far, pretty exciting. Looks like the manager didn't follow Sun Tzu's advice:

Seems Tokuchi now has the best contract in the team 2.3 mil dollars just for the preseason games lol.

Ah, now I just want to see Toua ruin the owner! :D
Yay, take all his economy!

I just wonder how they'll explain his supremacy on the field. There must be somekind of non-supernatural explanation to the terror he put in those poor batter, right?

Yeah, that was the point the whole time. Like Toua said to Kojima before the game "How can you know if I won't gamble on baseball someplace else?" (or something like that). That's Toua's goal, Gamble XD

Such an awesome episode again. Really looking forward to what's gonna happen next. More excited about the One Outs contract than the Lycans (did I spell it right?) winning the championship, though. At least for now.
Next episode already *.*

Interesting to see that Toua was admirable enough to not count the deadball as a strike. In the end, it's paying off because now he's making bank out of the contract he signed with the owner xD

Surprised how they handled the outcome of the game,Toua lost against Kojima and became pro.

Loved how he wrecked the owner and the batter of the opponents team.

This caught my eye, too. It seems gambling is as sacred to him as baseball is to Kojima, and just like Kojima, he too couldn't accept a "dirty" win he hadn't earned himself, but instead was gifted by the opponent's lack of knowledge of the rules. I wonder if there'll be someone who'll teach Toua some humbleness the same way he had taught Kojima; on one hand, I'd love to see that, but then again, he's just too cool to be reformed. xD

LESGOOOOOOOO, HUSBANDO TOUA!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm actually quite impressed with how cooperative he's being, and pitching well lolol
Granted, there's money involved, but still xD

Someone come and unleash his full pitching potential yo. Would love to see it.
Toua doesn't seem entertained enough hehe

Absolutely loved Kojima's proud smirks when ppl finally recognize how amazing/terrifying his new recruit is C:

I only found out about the One Outs mangaka being the same guy who made Liar Game thanks to a previous post here and now that I think about it, it definitely makes perfect sense. The high-stakes gambles and Toua looking just like one of Liar Game's characters weren't just a coincidence after all~

It was really nice of Toua to graciously accept his loss despite Kojima's win barely being a win at all. Now that he's become a professional player, the opportunities for easy and big money will only be increasing more and more from here on out!

The owner fucked up big time by agreeing to take that bet but with a pitcher of his caliber working for the Lycoans, there's no doubt that he'd be their greatest asset in going for the championships.

I judged from the cover and thought this was gonna be some gun shooting anime, turned out baseball anime lol

Well, Didn't notice that baseball balloon.
But the cruelness is not that difference when these players actually trying to win the game. It's impressive that they can give so much details about psychological stuffs and mental games going on just between the pitcher and the batter. felt some chills tho. Well, Kojima self-sacrificed and cause of that unpredictable action, he won the game.
He thought his kindness and self sacrificing is weakness. But even if his hand isn't injured, it would still be difficult to outsmart that spike hair guy. That guy is too clever.

So Tokuchi accepted his loss. That was an unexpected outcome.

And now lol he is making crazy amounts of money from the contract. Will the owner of the team be the main antagonist?
