I never thought I'd feel like the only American in a thread on this site.

I know that feeling now.

IN OTHER NEWS, FUCKING YES. JUST PREMIERE IN CLEVELAND AND TAKE MY MONEY

Haha good luck. I live in an even bigger city [Chicago] and we never get anything. It's going to either be L.A., San Fran, NYC, or Boston. I guarantee it.

On the other hand I might just have enough miles built up to take a trip and visit friends in any of those 4 cities, so COME AT ME QB.

I live right by NYC, so if I beg my parents and do some work perhaps they could take me. I also live right by Chicago and have family who live there so by the off chance that it does premiere there I have an excuse to go.

Also, if it's coming out in America are they going to have subtitles or have it dubbed or just in plain Japanese?

Hoooold up. How can you live right by NYC and right by Chicago at the same time? That's uh kinda weird.

I think it's still pretty generic and cutesy though. Just a slightly different take than normal, perhaps (It's the only magical girl I've watched other than Sailor Moon).

Seriously?
Have you tried watching Magical Lyrical Girl Nanoha? Best series ever. I've watched it about 3 times, all 3 seasons :D
It's got badass fighting and an awesome storyline :)

Only aesthetically. There's a reason episode 3 was such a turning point for so many.

Are you serious? This is your neighbor (Indonesian lol), and I guess I've seen EVA 2.0 (and Doraemon Movies) in theater :p

Isn't Singapore should be more advanced in this kind of thing?

San Marino?! Seriously?

The question is "How do they manage to get this?"
"To some, online is more important than seeing friends, eating and even breathing."

Perhaps, though Madoka is not considered a loli anime.
So MAL finally starts locking news threads that are only a few weeks old?

I wonder where was the announcement of this change? Or we are seeing yet another case of changes made that impacted users but not communicated to them?

I wonder how long people would put up with this.

As much as I have a bunch of information to share about anime announced recently I cannot share it in news board, and the anime series is too disorganized and chaotic to share information except with people already interested in the particular series.

I'm going to the Chicago show, already got my tickets....gonna be epic!!
Though I've heard the Musicbox Theater in Chicago is pretty underwhelming, will still be awesome.

And, I hope it does well in the US, so they'll bring the third one to theaters here as well!

Urahara Out!!

So the two new Madoka movies are going to be 4 hours long as a whole?? That is equivalent to 10 TV episodes!

For those who attend the Los Angeles showings will receive some city exclusive specials. Los Angeles ticket holders will receive select giveaways on opening night and throughout the scheduled screening times while supplies last. In addition, there will also be exclusive Madoka Magica the Movie Merchandise sold only at the Los Angeles Theater while supplies last.

God damn am I happy I'll be going to the LA showing. I've already gotten the DVD/Blu-ray combo boxsets of the series, I over-bought merchandise of the series at AX, and now this...Madoka Magica just keeps sucking my wallet dry.

I feel bad for fans who don't live near LA, though. I don't know why only the LA showing gets this.

@Above, I bet you love it even more now.

There should be some newer or updated scenes at least!

But perhaps, these are reserved for the third movie.
Fingers crossed*

We now know how long each movie is:

[劇場版 魔法少女まどか☆マギカ 〔前編〕始まりの物語 上映時間:130分 ]
Madoka Magica movie 1 of 2 - The story at beginning 130 min

[劇場版 魔法少女まどか☆マギカ 〔後編〕永遠の物語 上映時間:109分 ]
Madoka Magica movie 2 of 2 - The everlasting story 109 min

In total it is 239min which is, as rumor has it, a full 4 hour feat. As each TV episode, not counting OP and ED, is around 23-24 min long, 4 hour means around a length of almost 10 TV episodes, which means the "summary" may not really be so much a summary but a retell of the whole story after all.
